The guy that grabbed Russel by the neck is badly in need of a lesson in manners. A pointed lesson. _________________ No whiners! |

I need some help. I remember that whenever someone spoke up against Al Gore that there was a goon squad ready to physically confront the speaker(s). After the election a person who I believe said he was a fire-fighter, stated that they were indeed physically confronting people to shut them up.
Can anyone find that article or am I off-base?
We also need to enlarge this photo and send it to the printers to use as fliers at the rally. |

I remember Al Gore's goon squad throwing things and yelling "cripple" at Bob Kerrey. They might have been too afraid to of even a one-legged SEAL to get close enough to touch him though.
Speaking of Bob Kerrey, there goes the John Kerry campaign staff confusing people again. First they tried to claim that John was Bob on the Senate Intelligence Committee, and now it's Michael Russell. It's outrageous! |

So what if the man is a spokesman for any group! That doesn't automatically strip him of his rights to free speech and peaceful demonstration. The most that should have happened was that he was asked to leave and escorted out if he didn't oblige. The Kerry supporters seem to thrive on violence. _________________ Orolonn |

So canidate Kerry stood by and watched without interupting while his goons committed atrocities again?
And you guys say he's inconsistent?
Here is the headline for this story:
Kerry Witnesses Assault, Does Nothing _________________ What about John Kerry's four months in Vietnam qualify him to be president?
Al Gore was there for five.

But, it's already established that he is NOT a spokesman of Swifts and the point is that the Kerry campaign is so desperate that they're claiming a 48 year old is a former Swift.
A Bush operative - for Pete's sake, that's weak. Anyone who disagrees with Kerry is a Bush operative, these days. I sure would like to start seeing some pay for being a Bush operative!
Hecklers at any rally are given the bum's rush - and rightfully so. People go to the rallies to hear the candidate and listen to what he has to say.
This guy didn't deserve the manhandling he got, and I hope he sues the hell out of the people who got him into a headlock.... but he didn't belong inside, either.... not after he'd proven himself to be a heckler.
I want my candidate treated with the same right to speak and be heard - it's only fair to allow it for Kerry, as well. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

From the video I saw, not only did Kerry not do anything to stop the abuse ...he stood there laughing.

This is what will actually be seen.
PLANT REMOVED FROM CENTER
A republican plant was removed with the assistance of union members
at a recent Kerry speaking engagement. How the plant was determined
to be republican was not determined. It was believed to have been
placed by a floral shop sympathetic to the right wing conspiracy group
known as Swift Vets for Bush. It was latter learned that plant as yet
unidentified by botnists was seen in the possession of Bush fundraisers
in an apparent violation of the McCain Fiengold Campaign Spending Act.
Mr. Bush denied any relation to the unamed plant but offered no other
comment except he supports the rights of all flora. AP _________________ What about John Kerry's four months in Vietnam qualify him to be president?

This kind of thing happens on both sides of the fence, and I wish it would stop. I doubt either of them gets much play in the press, though.
Incident At The Young Republican Convention
There's a minifirestorm in New York City, where the local ABC station captured anti-Bush AIDS protesters being arrested by police as they began shouting inside Madison Square Garden at a Young Republican Convention during the general convention. But that isn't what's at issue. It's what's on the video: It shows a young Republican, later interviewed on camera, kicking a protester as three Secret Service agents hold her down. Talk Left (a blog that specializes in the politics of crime) has his picture and a link to the ABC News video here.
http://ww2.7online.com/global/video/popup/pop_index.asp?ClipID1=247870&h1=Headline&vt1=v&at1=News&d1=111867&activePane=info&playerVersion=8&rnd=51992696
So see it for yourself -- and draw your own conclusions.
When you see it it shouldn't matter what party you belong to.
And when you watch the video, you'll note that the young man kicking the held-down demonstrator is not the only one at fault: a Young Republican had also been punched in the face by a protestor. It's unclear if these anti-Bush demonstrators, who infiltrated the meeting, were anarchists but that again is not what is at issue here.
It's disturbing when our election campaigns -- designed by our founding fathers to channel potentially-violent competitive juices and near-religious political beliefs into nonviolent combat with a clear winner and loser -- veer into uncontrollable emotion and violence.
The issue here is NOT the protesters shouting, or the protesters being arrested, or the protesters being roughly handled, or the whether the protesters were instigating anarchists -- it's someone kicking a person who is being held down (and getting away with it even though he was on camera doing it and interviewed later). And also that a Young Republican member at a convention was punched in the puss by a demonstrator. And that political passions (in this case involving young people) have crossed the line.
All sides need to cool it.

The key issue here seems to be that the Kerry campaign operates on faulty intelligence.
If they can't even get the easy stuff right in their own back yard, God forbid they ever get to the White House. _________________ America voted for solid LEADERSHIP and gave "W" a mandate to carry on.
