Let's see if I understood his point correctly. George Bush can't possibly be an effective commander in chief because he hasn't experienced combat. John Kerry, because he experienced combat, would be a better commander in chief.
I guess Bush's performance over the last years is completely irrevelent? Maybe we should all be zapped to erase all memories and perceptions and just vote based on Vietnam.
Oh wait...that would mean we'd have to consider all of John Kerry's combat experience...which brings us back to the Swifties.
Oy vey....
However, to be fair, O'Reilly didn't seem like he was buying what Korb was selling....

The way I understood Korb is that we should have lost WWII because FDR couldn't have possibly made good judgements about what the military was telling him - he had no combat experience himself. Also, from what I can tell, we should be determining which living American has seen the most days of actual combat and giving that person write-in votes for President. _________________ fighting steel |

Under the current litmus test being paraded out lately, Hillary Clinton is unqualified to run in 2008 (unless she volunteers for combat duty in Iraq and sees, post haste). Let's see how fast this requirement fades after *this* election.
Did any of these military experts back Gore in '00?

Oh, and Abraham Lincoln should have lost to George McClellan in the 1864 election because McClellan was a general.
