CBS and The Boston Globe might be in hot water here. This might blow up in their face if the documents were forged. IF this turns out to be true be prepared for the media to call for the banning of all 527s. Their counterpunch against Bush is getting nowhere, as Kitty Kelly has also proven to be a liar this morning. All of this is in response to the Swifties having so much success. If CBS and the Globe gets caught....gosh it's going to get nasty... Stand firm Swifties! The truth is on your side!

For what it's worth...I understand from reading Burkett's book that Dan Rather is forged (not wrought). He too, ala Kerry, embellished his military experience. Even tho' he could not complete his US Marine basic training in the fifties he still bragged to everyone his "two tours". It appears Mr. Rather is still remorse over his own personally perceived failed life by supporting this story against the President.

By the way I don't recall reading anythiny remotely suggesting that W met with any communist he was at war with to discuss peace plans and subsequent red "pork" while in the service of his country.

If you type that document word for word into MS Word, in New Times Roman 12 (the default on mine), it will look exactly the same. Then run it through a copyer a few times to make it look official.

Must have been a real hum-dinger of a typewriter. Very Happy

As an ex-Boston Globe reader, I would put nothing past the Boston Globe (including intentionally using forged documents) in their zeal to get John Kerry elected.

Remember, we are talking about the same so-called “newspaper” that tried to pass-off photos they downloaded from a porn site as photos of Abu Ghraib prison abuses.

Unbelievable --- except I do believe it. It is amazing how low people would stoop. No doubt the forger is someone born after computers bacame commonplace. It is amazing how much blind hatred for President Bush clouds the capacity to think.

I think this little stunt will be the end of Dan Rather, 60 Minutes, CBS, and the MSM --- the only way the rest of teh MSM can redeem themselves is to immediate investigate the fraud and give it front page and top of the newscast coverage. Oops. The MSM will be saved by Hurricane Ivan and they will bury the forgery on the back page.

Sorry for the delay but here’s a link to what I posted (as reported in the Globe’s main competitor).

http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=27679

This may seem outlandish today but, at the time it, it did the damage it was intended to do.

Of course, the larger story is why this fake, sexed-up Globe story was never “denounced” by the Main Stream Media.

Go figure.

Look at what I got from Scot Lehigh, who wrote the Boston Globe piece with "mendacious mugging" in it:

Quote:
I assume that you, as an evidence-based academician, must be very concerned
with the new reports about George W. Bush's national guard record.

I e-mailed him that it was looking like the documents might be forged and that Barnes wasn't credible for any number of reasons.

I haven't heard back from him.

Just e-mailed him a link to one of the stories about the forged documents and also a post here with all the scoop on Barnes.

I'm so bad Razz
