Let's compare their officer evaluations, made by officers who were not trying to score political points:
Kerry: "Intelligent, mature and rich in educational background and experience, Ens Kerry is one of the finest young officers I have ever met and without question one of the most promising."
Bush: "Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of report."
That about sums it up. |

And that's only what Bush released! It makes me wonder what the bad stuff looks like.
The irony is that the above negative evaluation was only released after Bush had to prove that he showed up somewhere (and we still haven't seen that he showed up in Alabama) |

Stupid response, but what do you expect?
The 'Lt Bush not observed' was the ENTIRE evaluation. THey couldn't say anything about him because nobody had seen him. He was apparently too busy snorting coke in strip clubs to even pretend to follow through on the bogus service that kept him out of harm's way.
Had people seen Kerry? Yes. A lot had, including enemy soldiers who saw him advancing while firing. As a decorated war hero, which he was and is, he was uniquely qualified and entitled to speak out against the war, which we were busy losing.
Now, 30 years later, we're losing another war. Who's losing it? Not a war hero, that's for damn sure. |

Could you try that again with less disingenuous wording.
I believe that you are talking about an evaluation by a reletively new superior who checked 'not observed' for a number of things he'd had no opportunity to observe.
If you cannot make your case with honesty then it might appear that you have no faith that it can win on its own merits honestly.
Oh! Unless you are talking about a different evaluation than i read you do not have your numbers right either. |

Thanks guys. It's obvious that Bush completely failed to be observed by anybody at that time. |
