Love it!
Notice the use of "Memorandum for Record" - this is MY recollection of what I called what I wrote on a couple of individuals in '68-'69 as an Air Force Captain - NOT the "Memorandum to File" shown on the CBS memo. |

air_vet, I still have my ORIGINAL "Tongue and Quill", (credit to LTC Hank Staley for this gem of a writing and communicating guide), and "Memorandum For Record" is the correct term. Man, Kerry's Klowns can't even forge a document without fouling up.
...I'll never forget my Wing Commander telling me that if I ever wrote up an Article 15, be sure and spell his name correctly. Same principle -- inattention to the fine details can scuttle you.
...reminds me of a guy who got booted from class for cheating on an exam. Who knows, he may even be the one who created these forgeries. Anyway, he had gotten a copy of the test beforehand, so he had one of the pledges in his fraternity fill in all the answers and then hide outside the classroom window. He sat near the window, slipped the blank test out, the accomplice handed him the filled in one, and then he booked so he wouldn't get caught. The guy looked at the test and realized he was dead meat. The pledge, wanting to impress the guy with his ability (or maybe to get even for some of the hazing) had typed the answers!
Let's hope November 2, 2004, really is Veteran's Day!

I had to go out to a couple Air Guard units in the mid 80s doing UNITREP staff assistance visits and trainings (while at TAC) and I remember more than one flying unit having files of stuff going back to the Korean War.
There were bunches of MFRs covering previous AD MAJCOM inspections (like ORIs) and yep, a few for crews that were DNIF for one or more reasons, but NONE of them looked like what CBS is trying to pass!!!
Forget the fonts, the format for starters is wrong....
Oh this so burns me up!!!!!!

What's the provenance of that?
I'd like to post it elsewhere, but I want to know it's background, so I don't end up pulling a "Rather" _________________ 13F20P |

I've seen a few of these parody documents all over the internet, nakona, so you're probably safe to post them with "author unknown." _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
