ccr: Caught that omission and fixed it just a few minutes ago. Thanks.
By the way: tell John I loved "Centerfield" as much as his early stuff. <grin> |

Another factor to proving these are fakes that I think has been overlooked ( because we all kind of take it for granted ) is typewriters of that time, that most probably would have been at a national guard base, would not have "WORD WRAPED". The thing I noticed in doing my own tests is the fact that while typing, without applying a return key stroke, my lines wraped exactly the same as theirs did.
Did "executives" or "Selectras" do word wraping? _________________ Proud to be an American! and member of the PAJAMAHADEEN

After reading through all 22 pages of this thread I too can't help but smile. There are several thoughts going through my head.
1) What a day to be away from my computer and the news.
2) We should all send Al Gore a thank you note for inventing the Internet.
3) I believe that in the future we will look back and determine there were two events that shifted control back to the people: SwiftBoat Vets and CBS/(Kerry) TANG Document Fraud.
4) The Swift Boat Vets have shown that a small group with a little money can have a major impact --- provided their issue is based upon truth.
5) The bias of the MSM is made undeniable by the CBS/(Kerry) TANG document fraud.
In less than three weeks the SwiftBoat Vets have shown that the masses can be reached with a message of truth.
In 10 hours the people through the blogs and internet forums have exercised real power and forced journalism to return to "real investigative journalism" again.
Result CBS will have less creditability than the supermarket tabloid that always has alien stories.
This isn't egg on the face of CBS, harkin, etc --- that's much stinkier stuff
dripping off them.... poor Dan Rather -- what a way to end a faultering career. |

The only thing that disappoints me is that none of the media is crediting the initiator and some of the contributors to this thread as being the ones to break the story.
We'll know - but it would be nice if these folks got the credit they deserve. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

You have addressed the mechanicals pretty well, but not the content.
The language is inconsistent with a military officer.
1) A military officer would NEVER EVER use "CYA" (Cover Your Ass) as a subject. NEVER.
2) Agreement is almost ALWAYS expressed as "concurrence" As in "CPT Smith concurs". Agreement is NOT a military concept.
3) The date format is all wrong. Standard MILITARY dates were ALWAYS written DD-MMM-YY in the 1970s.
4) "Not Later Than NLT)" is ALL wrong. First of all, it's "No Later Than" and it would be simply NLT, and not spelled out. And MOST CERTAINLY not *both*.
5) AFM 35-13 does not appear to be a valid Air Force Manual. I can find NO reference for it in ANY military documentation, other than for awards and decorations. In any case, an AFM is NOT a source document reference for a flight physical in ANY case. It's just not possible. Manuals are not rules or regulations. You certainly do NOT comply IAW a technical manual. It's just not done. As an aside, the ONLY refereces you will see to this "reference" are on Talking Points, which makes the documents even more suspect. If someone can find a copy of AFM 35-13, I'd really like to see it.
There are a lot more inconsistencies, but I'm sure they'll be rooted out in good time. _________________ USMC 69-72, 7th Comm, 3rd MarDiv, FMFPAC

Just a thought....Neal Bortz has maintained that the Cllintons would do something to stop Kerry so that the Democratic nomination would be open to the Wicked Witch of Washington in 2008.
Is this it? It almost sounds like something the Clinton's would do. _________________ Served with US Army in Americal Division 2/69 to 9/70. |

By the way I would like to reaffirm that on 4 May 1972 memo. The Blackout prints such that the text is readable...this is a serious no-no in the military especially for addresses, phone numbers or SSN's. Also my print out to a laser printershows alight darkening (if that makes sense) such that there is about a 1/4 inch "White border on my print. this may account for the 10 1/2 inch that someone was talking about.so believing these are forgeries someone did at least enough research to get that part down...butat the top the the pag the "dot" made to make the paper look old come within 1/4 inch of the darkened edge.at the bottom there is a 1/2" to 3/4" gap betwee the black dots and the bottom edge darkening. Can anyone esle duplicat and what might this mean? _________________ USN-RETIRED (FIXED and ROTORY WING)

Alright, maybe a couple more:
1) "Lt. Colonel" Nope. Not ever. LTC, yes. Maybe LtCol, if he's "Old Army", but not likely.
2) "Commander" Nope. "Commanding", yes.
3) 111th F.I.S. Nope. 111th FS, yes. As far as I can determine, the unit was NEVER officially referred to as the 111th F.I.S., and if it ever WAS, then there would be NO "periods" in it, as 111th FIS.
These documents are rife with just amatuer, non-military references. They are just plain painful to read. _________________ USMC 69-72, 7th Comm, 3rd MarDiv, FMFPAC

I've just about had it with these dishonorable defenders of Kerry like Harkin. He's already got more egg on his face than any of us and more than many criminals. How dare he voice his indignance over Cheney's comment when he was a bald faced fake himself, the lies of which are discussed in the following article.
"TOM HARKIN, FAKE WAR HERO: In an update to an earlier post, I noted some comments by Donald Sensing about Sen. Tom Harkin, most recently seen attacking the patriotism of Dick Cheney. Sensing observed: "Harkin himself claimed to have battled Mig fighters over North Vietnam while a Navy pilot. He was a pilot, but never went to Vietnam."
