Everyone,

If this is a duplicate than I apologize, but according to Beldar ( www.beldar.org ) ABC's Nightline is going to cover the issue of whether or not Bush's TANG documents are forged...and apparently ABC's experts are of the opinion that they probably are. If this pans out, expect a very interestering night and morning news cast. [CBS according to Beldar is currently in emergency meetings...as well they ought to be.]

What a cop-out. The segment was 90% accusations against Bush. 5% Bush spokesman rebuttal. A 5% mentioning ABC had experts that said they might be faked. They might be faked - that's it and probably all we'll hear.

Oh, yes they even replayed Ben Barnes accusations with comments from Boston Globe etc.

That nightline was definitely another biased spin by left wing media. I approximated that there were two minutes dedicated to the forged memos, while everything else was about dirty politics ( with emphasis on republican dirty politics ). At the beginning, Kopel admitted that Rathers is a good "friend" of his. No surprise there.

That Nightline was nothing but the Kerry campaign trying to pick up the football for CBS. The whole thing was that the Kerry campaign would NEVER do somehting so stupid and they even blamed Karl Rove.

When all this broke, i.e. ABC investigating the possible forgeries, I thought they might take a harder stance for no other reason than to discredit a competitor, but Noooooooo!

They must all be in Cahoots.

These MSM news networks are an absolute disgrace!

They will not yet understand that they are obsolete, and that the blogosphere gets the news faster, has more investigation on stories than their elitist mindset can comprehend.

Go to www.beldar.org Koppel called the story baseless and without foundation without quite saying so explicitly. He also called Rather a lazy journalist who did not check his sources...again without quite saying so explicitly....and finally he called Rather and CBS Kerry stooges again without quite saying so.

Koppel is very smooth. You have to listen to what he says carefully. Go check out Beldar's fisking and you will see what I mean.

I quite like the name Rather Gate, heard it on a radio show coming out of Ca earlier. Seeing it in print with the th effect was a scream.
