Cottonelle 2 ply. You won't miss the other kind.
Anyway, Splenda will be a little hard to give up, it is good stuff...but ain't nothing that good. I should stop drinking so much coffee, anyway.
I am going to ask my hubby what can be done about the military's purchase of Splenda for use at the Hale Koa military R&R hotel in Hawaii--staying there is what got me using Splenda in the first place! He will probably tell me he is in submarines, not purchasing but I will use my feminine wiles to get him to help
Anything for the cause! Heck, I changed schools because of Kerry, so I am in this all the way, I guess... |

Below my reply from Kimberly Clarke..
Dear R.,
Thanks for your e-mail to Kimberly-Clark.
Because our advertising schedules are determined far in advance, it is
virtually impossible for us to know the content of every episode of a
program series. Nonetheless, comments such as yours help us to better
understand how people feel and your opinion is important to us. Please be
assured that we will share your remarks with those involved in our
advertising programs and will take them into consideration when developing
future advertisements.
Thanks again for your interest and for visiting our web site.

i hate to burst your bubble, but the c.e.o.s of both home depot and lowe's contribute large amounts of money to the republican party. i'd be willing to bet that others in your list are also supporters of g.w. bush.
boycotts only hurt the employees at the retail level. you can't honestly believe that those higher-ups are going to give a hoot about losing the smidge of income that you handful would have provided.
and of course their public relations people are going to send you nice little emails that say things like "your opinions are important to us" and "we'll take your opinions into consideration". right. what else would they say -- "sorry, we don't care what you think! millions of people are still buying our products!"
let the flames begin.... |

Never underestimate the power of the dollar to speak to the Corporations. It has been shown to work in other cases where people became so angry over something they saw or heard on TV/Radio etc.. that the Sponsors had no choice but to respond. Whoopie Goldberg would be an excellent example of such. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

PUNK: (hmm)
Let the corporations be more careful about whom they support with their ad dollars. 60 Minutes is a total crap of a show, and always has been--and any CEO that supports Bush or the Republican party, and still advertises on that bs-a-thon should be ashamed of himself. God Lord, man, I realize it is all about ratings and getting the best bang for the advertisers buck--that is not the point, here. There is a larger issue, and let the corporations squirm a little.
And why would I care what the CEO of the corporation does, in terms of personal donations and this boycott?
After all, I would expect the CEO's to vote for Bush--they are intelligent enough to be CEO's aren't they? For crying out loud, if Terezza wasn't so stoned all the time she would probably vote for Bush too. |

Kimberly Clark probably did say it best. They sponsored the show, not the content. They and the other sponsors get enough negative feedback and they very well may move thier advertising dollars to a show they will get the same exposure but in a favorable light.
Let's face it, they ain't stupid. If the show they sponsor brings a bad light on them they'll shift the money.

Actually, to all the companies that did bother to reply, I have sent a follow up in lieu of memo-gate.
I'm actually awaiting their reply to see if they will pay for ad time on a retraction. _________________ A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

No offense, but I don't think you people realise the seriousness of this incident. CBS and Dan Rather were trying to sway an election of president of the USA. This really puts them down to the level af AL-Jzzeera, but at least Al-Jezzera is up front about what they are.
If CBS gets away with this, what is next?
Placing one of their puppets in as President and the
elimination of term limits for POTUS?
Why wouldn't they?
We must fight our enemies foreign or within, and we heve plenty of them "WITHIN"

Companies and the people who work for them can only be hurt if that so-called Republican donor company (who advertises during a fraudulant political propaganda piece) refuses to pull its ads from CBS. It is not companies that a boycott like this wants to hurt. It is the advertising dollars of the broadcaster. Boycotting a national media like CBS would do nothing. I have done it for years! Hitting them with their advertisers works. Remember the Reagan show? |

As Thomas Jefferson once said:
"The roots of the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots"
This order from Dwight D. Eisenhower sums up what we face and what we must do:
D-Day Order - June 6, 1944
by Dwight D. Eisenhower
You will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944. Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41.
The United Nations have infiicted upon the Germans great defeat in open battle man to man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground.
Our home fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned.
The free men of the world are marching together to victory. I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle.
We will accept nothing less than full victory.
Good luck, and let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking. _________________ "The price of freedom is eternal vigilence" - Thomas Jefferson

I've already gotten responses from about half the businesses. Of course its the same blah blah "we're sorry you were offended" "we can't be responsible for the content" blah blah blah. I hope these documents are fake, so I can sent a really juicy email to Rather when he gets fired. Fat chance of that. |

1) Type an email to everyone in your Address Book. Do not be Politiclly Correct in this letter. Get your point across and be direct. Be sure to list all advertisers.
2) Ask everyone to forward to everyone in their address book.
3) Include as a cc the e mail address of every company advertising on CBS.
4) Ask everyone to include all cc. addresses in their forwarding to everyone in thier address book.
5) Update advertiser list weekly and repeat process with new advertisers list. Do not remove anyone from this list for 30 days because of their dropping from advertisers. We do not wnat them to get the idea that they can drop for a short period of time and then resume because the heat is off.
6) Any advertiser that does not have an e mail address listed then send them a snail mail letter. Let them know they are included in the boycott.
7) Include all advertisers of CBS. It is CBS Policy not only 60 Minute Policy that allowes these type of attacks not only on the President but also on the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
Lets make this the most effective boycott in the History of this country. We are doing this for the Veterans of this country that have served honorably with their sweat and blood and have honored the symbols of this great nation. |
