I ordered my "Unfit for Command" from Amazon on July 28.
After numerous requests for status, including sending the
order particulars (order # etc) from another person who
had ordered their books after I did (Aug 11) and received
their copies during the week of Aug 22, Amazon continued
to send me emails confirming that my order would be filled
on a "first come, first served" basis, but was not estimated
to be before September 27.
Finally, I received the following email on August 30
Option (2.) was chosen in a heartbeat, for ALL books
currently on order ... and for those in the future.
I can no longer trust anything these people have to say.

Although I have had my book for almost 2 weeks (after waiting for 3 weeks for one of the many stores I had my name on a list) I got my copy from Hasting Superstore.
I still have my name on the list from Barnes & Noble now for almost 5 weeks and have checked and double checked with them.. results.. no Unfit for Command.
They said they would call me as soon as it came in (I was on their list and verified that they had my name and number). I have checked with them several times.. results.. Never Got A Call
Barnes & Noble (at least in Prescott, Arizona) are liars. Everyone says that there is no way there is anything funny going on at B&N but folks THIS STINKS !!!
Never again B&N.. Never again ! ( I have a very long memory)

Order and got another book for a friend in only two days. |
