Excuse this if someone already posted it. I did'nt know Dan Rather was in a serious dispute with the President. Give me a break, I hate these people. |

Wasn't Rather the "fine, upstanding professional journalist" that so insulted a sitting President that he walked out of an interview, on camera - and didn't Rather himself do the same, leaving his network with a rather (for TV) extended period of dead air?
Wasn't George H. W. Bush (aka Bush 41) the President he insulted?
I think we may have something going on here that's personal. |

Reading the book, Stolen Valor, right now - there's a whole chapter on a really bad piece of journalism that Rather did on Vietnam Vets and how they were all misfits, hair-trigger tempers, drug abusers, alcoholics, etc.
B. G. Burkett did the REAL journalism for that "fraud-umentary" of Rather's and found that NONE of the people in the film report were who they said they were or had seen and done what they said in the film that they had said and done.
Sloppy reporting goes back a LONNNNNNG way, with Dan Rather. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
