I do not wish to discuss the Presidents documents but what I think alot of you are not seeing is the shift from Kerry to the President and away from the Swiftboat Vets. I believe that this was an intentional act by the Kerry team to divert the public from the Vets meeting this weekend and the impact of the swiftboat vets. Have any of you seen anything on the news regarding the meeting on Sunday of the Vets. I have not seen anything on it. I really don't think people realize the extent these people will go to to protect Kerry and they have many of the media channels behind them.

You don't need the media when you have the people. Trust me - the Swiftvets story WILL BE BLOGGED!!

Who busted CBS on the forged Killian documents? Bloggers. Who busted Joe Wilson on his lies? Bloggers. Who busted the Associated Press on the lie that Republicans booed when Bush said Clinton was in the hospital? Bloggers.

The alphabets don't matter anymore. The story will be blogged.

This has nothing to do with this thread, but the title of this thread made me think of it.

"Many Seem to be missing the point of why now!!!!"
The people who are wary of the SBVT aren't quite sure why the claims against Kerry matter. It might be good to put his actions around the time of Vietnam, to some of the stances and actions he has taken during his political career. Or any other way to connect to people why these things matter.

This is a diversionary tactic. We need to keep up the letters to the editor responses, taking out ads, and handing out flyers. The Kerry folks are trying to divert attention away from their fair-haired golden boy.

Letters should start with, Now that Dan's memos have been thoroughly discredited lets discuss Kerr's Christmas in Cambodia fairy tale, his magic metal PCF that repels bullets for 90 minutes, and his diary that states that we have not been fired upon but yet days earlier he received a wound.

Guys the Swifties know what they are doing and they are playing nation wide ads this week, but please understand they will not use their best stuff and ads during a period of time in which the Kerry people are shooting themselves in the foot and Stolen Honor is yet to be recognized. Let everything die down a little then watch the Swifties come out with a damning new ad.

BINGO!

You hit that one on the head. It's the tried and true strategy of the Left - deflect the issues at hand onto something else.

So much going on now that justifies looking hard at Kerry's past and stopping him in his tracks short of the presidency! - he is the same man, he is still connected to Kennedy & other people of "like mind." I don't know if it is communism or socialism or elitism or utopianism, but the ideology is based around the character of America being "imperalistic" and an "empire" and that it would be better for her to do away with her military and care for the world's masses and be more "altruistic" -- that's my take anyway. No conclusion yet on what the hell it is -- but it is dangerous and it is NOT America. (America is already altruistic and caring and has good intent in the world -- those that love her know this.)

Kerry is saying now, "wrong war, wrong time" etc, "mistaken war" "bring troops home" (6 mos or 4 yrs, doesn't matter - it's a call to bring troops home - "end the war" -- not a new desire of his...) All this rhetoric, of course, without regard for what would happen to the people in Iraq & Afghanistan if we pull out -- same as happened with the slaughter in Nam -- same man/same gameplan - same unrealistic, narrow view of the world. In addition to the slaughter that would happen, these states would all become Islamic and under control of the fanatics -- new Irans.... Even a fool such as I with no foreign service experience can see this.

Kerry is an "internationalist" in his own words -- we all get a shiver up our spines considering what he might do in that regard if he had the power... Wants to "set America in a new direction." Heard Kennedy raging again about "Iraq war was a mistake" calling for Rumsfeld to say WHEN, oh when will the troops come home??? Calling the war a "catastrophe." Which describes any war for any reason to Kennedy whenever there is a republican president .....

-- and, what about the people they are having come forward now to "tell of atrocities in Nam" -- more of the wintersoldier strategy to come, I'll bet - incl. POW arguments...Veterans against veteran - not a new thing for Kerry. "Use the vets"...std. plan with VVAW, this was their written stragegy back then..... And the dems now sweeping aside the treason committed by Kerry by saying what a hero he was to "come forward" and tell the truth about American soldiers and about the American gov't. Still standing by everything they did.

And what about Cahill, Bangert - the people he has around him. Old timers from his VVAW days ----

They are coming out of the woodwork: Saw an article (today?) by the guy that was responsible for the "Pentagon papers" -- who released secret info to the press, etc, back then. He is now putting out a call to everyone to be a "whistleblower" at the pentagon and elsewhere and just release every secret document they can get their hands on to show, I suppose, that "our gov't is lying." The cry of the VVAW - the cry of Kerry.

..... these are just a few little things that immediately came to mind in thinking about why it matters WHO Kerry is and what he has said and what he has done in his life. It is all relevant to today.

(geez, I just thought of Stephen King's "The Last Stand" -- don't even recall the story, except people coming together from all over the place to battle evil.....)

Bush has never pushed that.... and Kerry's always putting out pics of himself in uniform..... bush in uniform says to people 'Bush DID TOO serve in the military! What's that Kerry person talking about ???? Bush is not a draft dodger ! There he is on TV in a uniform! Why, thank you, Kerry and Kerry people.... you got pics of Bush on TV in uniform and we didn't have to pay for an ad or anything!

One thing I *have* noticed. George Bush knows HOW to wear a unitorm. I've not seen a single photo of him in uniform that he didn't look squared away.

I can't say the same of Kerry. Granted, a lot of photos were in country, and there was a war on, but even in the photos of him in dress uniform do not convey the sense of it "fitting" him.

And George knows how to salute. Something Kerry either never learned, or never bothers to render properly.

Of course, I may be a bit biased.....

Personally, I think Gary Aldrich stated it well in his article:
"The FBI records on John Kerry go far beyond your usual
FBI background investigation – the FBI was trying to determine
if John Kerry should do hard time for conspiracy to overthrow
the U.S. government through violent means - among other
possible charges."

The face of Kerry was revealed in his Vietnam duty but
his treachery really picked up speed when he returned home...
he didn't serve "honorably" he simply served - there is a
difference. He reminds me of a schoolyard bully...he's big
and powerful when he has his buddies around him against
one person...but he doesn't do well one on one...the bully
is fixing to get a swift kick in the arse....and my money
(literally) is on the ones doing the kicking...

Did I miss something?

Kerry will bring the troops home in 6 months to 4 years and end the war. When did the Islamic terrorists request peace? Kerry cannot "end this war", this war is against Islamic facists who want all Jews dead and at least 4 million Americans dead and are seeking the weapons to accomplish this horror quickly. This war is against Islamic facists who want to end our way of life and return the world to the 5th or 6th century.

How can Kerry "end this war". America did not declare this war, it was declared on us. For years America has refused to recognize that we were at war with an enemy unlike any other we have faced before.

This enemy is not limited to a geographic region. This enemy is not located within any particular set of borders. This enemy is everywhere. And this enemy will not stop just because an incompetent POTUS Kerry (shudder) brings troops home. All this would accomplish is that America would be fighting this enemy on our streets and in our schools --- not on the streets of Iraq and in the mountains of Afghanistan. Kerry would have us respond to terrorists with local law enforcement not a military trained for battle.

Mr. Kerry is Unfit for Command because of the reasons of his past as so eloquently and honorably explained by the Swift Vets. More frightening, Mr. Kerry is also Unfit for Command because he demonstrates his total lack of understanding of the enemy America faces today.

I WILL VOTE FOR kerry .... if he can get the French to replace our troops in Iraq. Fat chance of baguette boy achieving that.
