Here is yet another example of the kinder gentler liberals showing their contempt for the military and their families.

Yah, and notice the BS reply from the coordinator of the event.

And the newspaper just lets him have the last word?

I say, "Not so fast!" This is a good opportunity to let at least one newspaper know that Americans will never again let the leftists and media slander and defame and denigrate our military personnel!

At the top right of that page, there is a tab that says "Contact NBC5"

Click that and you get a drop-down menu - select News Comments and you'll get an email pop-up.

Write to them.

Let them know that this IS the Vietnam war happening all over again - but not the war, overseas- the war AT HOME, where "John Kerry was the field general."

Let them know that you've seen this movie before, but this time the ending is different.

Pacificts and appeasers - freedom's parasites!

I sure hope the vets of Afghanistan and Iraq don't have to deal with a Democratic presidential nominee in 30 years like we have Kerry today.

If the anti-war movement damages today's vets like they did our Vietnam vets, then the DNC has no shame!!!

If you can't tell, I got really pissed after reading this article. This story is an example of how freedom of speech can be abused.

Add this to the Iraq vet who was booed and called a baby killer in Seattle and the left has definitely made large strides in making it another Vietnam alright. Send the troops over to fight an honorable fight and denigrate them for it.

It's not only disgusting to see it happening again, it's unconsionable. Kerry, Fonda, Clark, Hayden, all the lefty wackos left over should feel real good about themselves over this one Mad

I saw a history channel special one time i believe that even during the second world war there were anti war protests and anger towards returning vets. It wasnt well known becuase back then the media had some respect for what they reported.

2004 - meet 1971 -- for once, I feel quite speechless. Unbelievable and heartless!! He didn't think she'd be "comfortable with the people there." The people there. It's bad enough to fight against allowing a repeat of history, but to have the same players setting up the same events. Man is this going to be a fight!

The aniwar guy didn't come across near as good as the other guy. Makes you wonder why he even joined the military... was for benefits most likely... of the hundreds and hundreds of our military I've heard on tv these past few yrs, I don't think I've heard 5 that think we shouldn't have gone to war in Iraq of Afganistan.

I sent that newspaper an email. told them the war protestors should put their names and addresses on a list, so our military don't waste their time in case of an attack etc helping those people.

Thanks Sonar, glad it wasn't just me who noticed the results of no PT.

I felt for the kid though. Outclassed from the get go and scared spitless being on TV. Regardless of what he said, he stood up. No waffles, no flips.

No matter his position that corporal showed more backbone in that short segment than the LT from MA.

I saw the newscast when it aired. From what I remember, through her tears the mom told one cheesy punk that her son died protecting him. He screamed back at her that he protected himself. At that, she cried back something to the effect that there's no danger here. The punk was silenced.

Once the SBVFT has sunk Kerry I would love to see us re channel our energy in supporting the troops. Whenever, wherever the troops are dishonored we need to counter attack their attacks. We can never again allow wrongful depictions go unchallenged. If we stay together we can always send a SBVFT heads up memo to friendly members of the new media and if necessary take up a collection and run a full scale ad campaign.

coldwarvet, I couldn't agree more.

The myths about the Vietnam soldier are buried deeply in our culture - we even have people right here claiming to be what John Kerry and WSI said they were.

We have people repeating the disinformation to this day - it's part of our national psyche, I guess, that the Vietnam vet is more likely to abuse drugs & alcohol, have a hair-trigger temper, to be homeless or in prison, and in general, to have trouble fitting in with society.

All studies done by reputable institutions using scientific sampling have found just the opposite to be true.

We've got to get the truth out.
