Of course, that was his unsubtle way of proving his war hero status while dissing his ribbons at the same time. Kerry doing his schizo act of Sgt. York as Daniel Ellsberg.

I still don't get it, what is the problem? I must be slow. He got a 2nd PH for action on Feb20, why couldn't it that PH in the picture?

FYI: Many websites say this photo was taken on 28 Feb -- not possible! They were in action on 28 Feb. VADM didn't award the medals until 6 days later. They are all wearing medals because of action on 28 February 1969, in which Kerry received his Silver Star.

QUESTION: Why is Kerry wearing a Purple Heart in addition to a Silver Star?

hint: Kerry was not wounded in the 28 Feb 69 action.

Was that his first or second Purple Heart in the picture? His first PH was awarded on 28 Feb, 1969 for action on Dec 2, 1968 and his second PH(although listed as the third on his certificate) was awarded on the 5th of March for action on 20 Feb, 1969.

OK, Thorson, according to the after action report on Kerry's web site had a wound on his right arm very similair in severity to JKs leg wound. In fact the language used is almost identical. Wonder why Thorson isn't wearing a PH? Was he not put in for one for that wound, and JK was for his? Wonder why?

Also, if Kerry's wound was severe enough to make him favor his injured leg, why doesn't Thorsen seem bothered by his arm?

OK, Chief, surely you're not suggesting that the first PH was entirely fabricated, documentation forged, are you?
