The event was heart warming and wonderful.
So many great speakers.
I must say that John O'Neill was fantastic!!!
I believe that there is still room on Mount Rushmore for
both Ronald Reagan AND John O'Neill |

Wow! I was blown away by this gathering. I was born in '67 and came to this country as a young girl from Yugoslavia (a former communist country, but has now upgraded to socialist (I'm being sarcastic)) when I was four years old and never went back. I have always felt like an American, became a citizen at the age of 20 and I call myself American all the way. I started visiting this site after seeing the Swift Boat thing unfold on TV and I have become hooked on your site. I was moved to tears seeing and hearing all the stories today. I'm ashamed to say I had no idea of the magnitude of the Vietnam War up until this point. I almost don't feel worthy to be in your company (because you are true heroes) but I just wanted to show my support and say thank you because if it wasn't for heroes like you, I'd still be stuck back in the old country and, being a woman, would most likely be dead! Shame on you John Kerry and may God bless all you Veterans!! |

Goodness - I think someone needs to listen to this -- someone with a stronger stomach than I. I listened to a little bit & had to mute it. There are two soldiers from Iraq on, and one is saying that his commander told him before he went that no matter what Bush said, the only reason they were going there was for "oil" and it had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction or democracy, but only oil, and that they had to go because they signed a contract. They both are saying in essence that the war has no purpose, and that their buddies are dying over there and that we have to bring the troops home now.
DEJA DEJA VUUUUUU anyone? Are the returning Iraq soldiers next going to report to the Foreign Relations Committee driven in the back of the SUV kerry doesn't have???? He just won't stop, will he? What does this do to the morale of our military if kerry ramps this activity up a notch??
Sorry - this is a happy happy day with O'Neill on with this book and also with our wonderful rally -- but behind the scenes, this kerry stuff is going on and we need to keep watch on it, I suppose..... |

We need to have Kerry protestors at every Kerry and Edwards rally!
theye'll be one in Tucson soon.... in case anyone down there can go...
I was checking hs site last nite - I didn't find it very easily.... but then it was about 1 a.m. (I guess that's 'this morning')...
I can't go that far... but if he has one near Phx in Oct (cooler weather), I'm gonna go! _________________ Stevie

I would love to see a large group of families with loved ones over in Iraq and Afghanistan put their foot down and go after John Kerry and his democrats on the basis that their comments and actions are aiding and defending our enemy and that is the reason why we're seeing the terrorists empowered and still killing our young men and women. I would hold John Kerry and the left responsible for the continued bloodshed. And shame on any soldier from any war who would come back to our soil and slap our still-serving soldiers in the face like that. I say it again, shame on you John Kerry! |

I watched the whole thing, and stayed in tears most of the time.
I applaud our Vietnam Veterans' newest show of courage... stepping up to confront their accusers of so long ago. I also pray that this exercise in their right of free speech.. a right they deserve more than most of us.. will help them heal from the wrongs of the past.
God bless them one and all...

P.S. Anyone have any idea who the hecklers were.. were they carrying signs etc.? I had an overwhelming urge to crash skulls (tough woman that i am *heh*) when I realized what was happening.. |

CNN just had about 30 seconds of the rally on -- said it was a "massive rally against Kerry." Showed the speakers and flashed the crowd and their signs. |

It is a happy day. But we should try to remember that the Kerry family SUV doesn't use oil or gas. He uses hot air generated by he and his wife. _________________ US Army Security Agency

VVAW and current Veterans for Kerry have the same goal:
The United States will no longer be able to fight a war and win it, especially if a Republican administration is waging it. _________________ US Army Security Agency

"Bailey's speech was interrupted when a shouting match broke out between a lone Kerry supporter in a wheelchair, Vietnam veteran Bobby Mueller, and a number of the anti-Kerry vets." (from the article just posted here).
One of the speakers asked the crowd, two different times, if they remembered Bobby Mueller from the VVAW, that he had been recognized. I think he said "from the VVAW". Anyone else get that info more clearly?

The rally was fantastic, very well done with great speakers who covered
all the information that needed to be out to the voters.
Some of the speakers brought me to tears, and others anger at Kerry.
Being angry is a good thing when it comes to Kerry.
The Switvets are making a difference.
This comment is from Investors Business Daily. It speaks well of the news being out there, probably a lot more than you know.
"Could it be that CBS and Rather wanted to take Bush down a peg — especially given the questions about John Kerry's Vietnam service raised by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth?"
There is still more time and more ways to get the news out about
kerry.! _________________ Swiftvets rock! |

They were referring to Bobby Mueller, one of the founders of VVAW who was there to heckle the speakers and who was escorted from the premises - by a bunch of former SEALs, if I heard the announcer correctly? _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
