I apologize if this was posted today already, but I looked and haven't seen it.

The most important fact to remember about Hard-Left Liberals is that, for them, truth is relative - a mere tool to be used to garner any advantage over a political foe. Recent claims regarding President Bush’s National Guard service over 30-years ago, seem to be based on documents recently “found” which purport to bolster accusations of Bush’s poor service and performance.

In a recent 60-Minutes broadcast, these documents were showcased as exhibit “A” to prove the validity of the allegations. It now appears that the key evidence against Bush is a horribly obvious forgery. The style of the lettering and the manner of the printing prove to even the most gullible reader that these papers could not have been authored in the 70’s, as claimed.

As we are distracted by the claims and counterclaims about George Bush’s service to his country (recall, he flew a multimillion dollar fighter jet and was honorably discharged), the anniversary of September 11, 2001 passes. How shall we remember that awful day? What should we be remembering about what has happened since?

As a former FBI Special Agent, the first thing that comes to my mind is that we have been terror-free on our own soil since that awful day, and that’s not a fluke. George W. Bush provided the leadership and made the correct personnel and policy decisions to ensure we would be able to head off future attacks. His ideas and his leadership have been the sole basis of our comfort and safety as the rest of the world faces unspeakable horror. A lack of terror attack is also good insurance against economic distress and unemployment.

So, thanks to President Bush’s administration, we have been safe since 2001. I think it is very important to remember that the Hard-Left Liberals fought very hard and long with President Bush when he was trying to fashion a Homeland Security agency that would be free from incompetence, the usual federal employee bureaucracy, and inevitable deadwood. Congressional leadership from the Hard-Left had more interest in protecting a vital Leftist interest group – the federal employee unions – than in protecting the homeland, or so it would appear.

As a result of their twisted priorities, one Democratic Senator, Zell Miller, split with the leadership of his own party and became a classic whistle-blower, telling the world how bad things had become in his Left-leaning party. He wrote a bestselling book about it and was invited to be a keynote speaker at the GOP convention.

I’m also pleased to acknowledge that other groups of whistle-blowers have stepped forward –various groups of Veterans including the Swift Boat Veterans. These courageous men are blowing the whistle on Kerry’s post-Vietnam, antiwar activities. They are calling for the release of real documents about John Kerry that are held by the U.S. military and can be made public upon receipt of a simple one-page request from Senator Kerry. And guess what? He won’t do it!

It was an amazing blunder on the part of these Kerry Kool-Aid drinkers to trot out phony documents that were supposed to damage the reputation of President Bush, but CBS News took the bait. This selective reliance on “documents” when the biased mainstream media wants to attack President Bush will have just the opposite effect – we know where there are real documents about Senator John Kerry and we need to see them. I hope a drumbeat begins now that will force the Senator to release the real stuff.

On my desk are copies of FBI documents – not forgeries – that label Kerry’s group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War or VVAW, as the national security risk that it really was.

The title of these documents is “New Left – IS.” To FBI agents serving at that time, we knew this to mean that a pro-Communist group known as “The New Left” was considered an internal security threat to this nation. The New Left was known to have adopted a Marxist ideology, and Senator John Kerry was a leader of this group.

The FBI no longer uses the label “IS.” They have converted all such investigations to a more accurate name: Domestic Terrorism. Call it what you like; then and now, these are serious matters – criminal investigations which could have resulted in hard time in a federal pen. The Bush critics like to talk about his D.W.I., but while our president was acting frisky as a typical college student, young Mr. Kerry was under FBI surveillance.

If he knows what’s good for him politically, Senator Kerry will move on and stop talking about what happened thirty years ago. Otherwise, growing numbers will insist he sign the release forms which would reveal to everyone whose side he was on when he returned from Vietnam. Senator Kerry, all you have to do is release your files – especially those FBI files.

Sangrun

The one QUESTION we've asked for years is WHY was kerry never brought to trial for his "treason"?

All these years later we now know without doubt that the FBI was involved. We know that he committed acts against this country yet he was given a free pass to continue to do damage in the highest places. The government for G-D sakes!

I'm confused to the inth degree.

Thanx
