Hannity just tossed the Kerry guy around the room like a rag doll. No joke the Kerry campaign is floundering as much as a flounder can flounder

The new polls showing Bush leading in Pennsylvania (Rassmussen), leading by eight in Wis (5 with RVs) (Gallup), and tied in MAINE (Zogby Telephone--noninteractive) has a lot to do with Kerry's desperation. I suspect his internals are even worse.

Give it another week or two like this, and President Bush can probably help out Senate Candidates.

Polaris --

With as much ammo as the DNC is slinging out in the face of the public, it's almost like shooting fish in a barrel.

They've had this "Bush lied about being in the Air Force" ad prepped up since Friday and all set to run as scheduled tomorrow. But the whole premise of the ad was debunked by the blogosphere 20 minutes after the content of the ad was announced last week. I mean, I can see them shooting themselves in the foot... but to put their foot in their mouth BEFORE squeezing the trigger is just plain insane.

I'm looking forward to their NEXT "attack"....

Cipher,

We can't let up now though (althoug I fully agree about shooting fish in a barrel). I don't just want Kerry to lose; I want him humiliated.

The momentum..that is the key..and yes, I agree with the previous poster..time to crush Kerry..now, do not let go, keep it up right until Nov 2, 2003. Until that day..I will not rest. I swear, I will not. The polls are showing internally that the trend is for Bush, even in Dem states..and that is what is shaking the Kerry camp..he is only down 5 in NJ..NJ????

Keep up the fight..

I put together a series of pages on the issue.

After reading, could anyone doubt that the CBS memos are the cheapest sort of forgery?

But let's remember, there wouldn't have been this haste, the blindness, at CBS were it not for the Swift Vets. CBS wanted to get even. So yet again, the Swifties score a hit on Kerry's sampan, and on CBS, just as a bonus.

ProudDaughterofVet,

Actually per the latest Polls, Kerry is up by two in New Jersey (a disaster for him). Basically at this moment, NJ is too close to call.

Ben Barnes (via PoliPundit) said it best:

Quote:
To accept CBS's insistence the four documents from the early 1970s are authentic, you would have to believe the following:

(1) That the late Jerry Killian, Bush's commanding officer, typed the documents--though his wife says "he wasn't a typist."

(2) That Killian kept the documents in his personal files--though his family says he didn't keep files.

(3) That the disputed documents reflect his true (negative) feelings about Bush and a contemporaneous official document he wrote lauding Bush did not.

(4) That he typed the documents on a technically advanced typewriter, an IBM Selectric Composer--though that model has been tested and failed to produce an exact copy of the documents.

(5) That this advanced typewriter, which would have cost $15,000 or so in today's dollars, was used by the Texas National Guard and that Killian had gained the significant expertise needed to operate it.

(6) That Killian was under pressure to whitewash Bush's record from a general who had retired 18 months earlier.

(7) That Killian's superior, Maj. Gen. Bobby Hodges, was right when, sight unseen, he supposedly said the documents were authentic, but wrong when, having actually viewed the documents, he declared them fraudulent.

Now if you can't accept all that, there's another side. To believe the documents are forgeries, you have to believe this:

(1) The documents were typed recently using Microsoft Word, which produces documents that are exact copies of the CBS documents.

(2) There's no number 2. All you have to believe is number 1.

I copied this in another post but it seems that this is really starting to apply to BOR more and more. Yes Bill is only looking out for Bill these days.
BOR mada a comment tonight that he doesn't jump to conclusions on subjects, and that he did his research before he had the swift boat vets on.
I think BOR didn't have them on because he even said on his show one night that he had his problems with the war himself. Maybe BOR did things not to have go in the military himself!!!!

Funny you mention that.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder.... Hmmm... An explanation

From:
http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis1/p21-pe07.html

Diagnostic Criteria

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
6. is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

In order to believe that the docs were legit, one would also have to accept that

---Just by pure happenstance, the documents created over 30 years ago on state-of-the-art-then but completely-archaic-technology-now equipment just happened to be produced using the exact margins, spacing and centering that happen to be the defaults in Microsoft Word AND that would have to include the superscripted characters which would have required changing the type ball twice in the course of producing the text

---One would also have to accept the legitimacy of what is now known to be a non-existant Post Office box number--

---That an ANG officer was unfamiliar with (or just ignored) military terminology and regulations in use at that time--

---That even though questions about the President's ANG service have been raised in all of the his political campaigns over the past 26 years, someone had and sat on these "private file" documents and only decided to make them public now--

The PO Box is VALID. This is not arguable from a validity standpoint, only from a stylistic usage standpoint.

Bill lost me today. He was way too quick to say he's sticking with Dan until it can be proven that the memos are bogus.

It is like there is a Hurculean fight about the memos, and it is not whether or not they are bogus, but if CBS will admit to what they have done.

Bill doesn't strike me a the kind of guy that will go and poke around in the blogs and see what they are really talking about, no, he'll read USA Today or the New York Times, for goodness' sake he might as well watch his competitors, they are trumpteting all of that malarkey...

AND FINALLY he shows a true contempt for bloggers who, sure, they may not be the end-all, but look at how trained journalists are acting this season, for cripe's sake, bloggers may be the only place to get the real skinny AT ALL.

Sounds like to me Bill is fixing to be overcome by events and be overrun by the truth. I think today was a turning point in his career... At least for me it was.

BOR has it in his mind that since he's "in the center", anyone who doesn't follow his way of thinking is just someone outside the norm and an idealogue. He thinks of crazy's on the right and the left and he sees the blogs as a manifestation of that. It also goes against his and other longtime journalists' sense of "how to report the news".

Anyway...those set in their ways often get run over by the future. And in this case the future is the truth. The bloggers seek the truth, and they are not finding it on TV, definitely not on CBS or other mainstream outlets, and increasingly--as in BOR--on FoxNews. The internet is the new divining rod for the truth. Let's use it to the hilt people. For all our sakes.

BOR is much more interested in RATING than truth. His show becomes more like a trashy one. When you have someone to claim that Dan Rather is pretty much like Tom Brokow needs to see his doctor and have his brain checked. Bill O'Reilly really pissed me off. Bye bye Spin Zone, it is now Spit Zone.
