I'm listening to Laura Ingrham's radio show on my local ABC talk radio station. She's tearing into O'Reilly--re his take on CBS docs, Swifties, etc.

Yeah...the speculation that BOR wants Rather's job is interesting. It fits. O'Reilly's been wanting to jump into mainstream, just to stick it to Peter Jennings cause he had to get the guy's coffee all those years. Watch what happens. When Rather goes down, Bill will be the voice of tolerance and stability, and he'll be showing CBS, "See? Look how fair I'm being in not crucifying your network like the other guys." heh...thanks Bill for sacrificing credibility and trust just to get into mainstream.

If O'Reilly ever left Fox News for CBS, his ratings would go down the tubes. Meanwhile, Fox News has plenty of capable, honest people to take O'Reilly's place: Brit Hume, Tony Snow, Jim Angle, John Gibson, Rita Cosby, etc.

O'Reilly is handling the Swiftvets controversy horribly, but he probably has no interest whatsoever in leaving Fox for CBS! He's probably trying to appear "independent" to those who accuse him of being too "conservative".
