Now ON FOX (The Kerry Campaign has David Thorne speaking for Kerry, his ex- brother in law...he says he would sign an affadavit also...). All Kerry's campaign can do is say "they're lying"..its pathetic. |

I believe Thorne said he would sign an affadavit stating that Sen. Kerry did not "pressure" people into testimony. Funny thing is, how in the world would he know. Certainly, only Sen. Kerry would be privy to this information. Thorne would not be able to address the matter directly (he wasnt around Kerry every waking moment of every day). Mr. Pitkin never mentiones Thorne, only Kerry & Camil in his affadavit. Although it is not proof that Thorne was not there for the ride to Detroit, Thorne certainly wasnt attached to Kerry's hip, and could not be certain Kerry didnt pressure people, or put words in their mouths). Only Sen. Kerry could sign an affadavit that would hold any water, and we all know Sen. Kerry wouldnt do that, let alone address ANY charge by the SwiftVets or Mr. Pitkin. |

How indeed! Thorne also said that Kerry wasn't aware of something, that has now escaped my memory, but how in the he** would he know what Kerry was aware of? This is just plain blind support, and has no credibility. _________________ No whiners! |

I believe what you are referring to is the NY Times article in 1970 stating that Mark Lane's book and the VVAW charges were inflated, and that members of the group were not even in the military, thus making the book's charges discredited. This is what Thorne said "kerry was not aware of", which is as you so aptly put "plain blind support"! |

Perhaps Kerry gently persuaded some to "testify". Or debated them into
it. Has anyone asked Thorne what kind of "refreshments" were being offered at the time? Kerry, during an interview back then, spoke about his Vietnam veteran friend, Joe or Joey, I can't remember which.
Seems poor old Joe got out in 65' addicted to Big H. Joe had to be watched all the time cause he kept OD'ing, 18 times according to Kerry, on
heroin. Six times on barbituates too, Kerry said.
Who talks like that, certainly not someone who has done drugs. I thought when you OD'd you were dead! Anyway, Kerry's pal Joe, or Joey,
was forced to steal many times from homes and businesses to support his habit, says Kerry.
Suppose there were some "incentives" used back then to get some of those incredulous stories some of them came up with? |
