Fortunately, the book is now widely available. Bookstores I've seen have dozens of copies, piled up in Clinton-like fashion. Amazon is shipping within 24 hours.

We can now dispense with the idea that there was a conspiracy afoot at Barnes & Noble, Borders & Amazon to suppress the book. No doubt there were hostile bookstore employees, but even this cadre could not counteract the publisher finally getting sufficient copies into the market. These companies have too much at stake financially to allow ideological preferences to hinder their bottom line.

In a website dedicated to the pursuit of the truth of events a long time ago, I just thought some posters here should have been more careful about charging the existence of an orchestrated conspiracy to suppress the book.

While I understand that there was no "conspiracy" to keep this book from being sold, ($$$ are the bottom line, after all) I DO understand why some people would have suspected that there was.

Can you explain Amazon's policy change notice regarding "Unfit For Command?"

Never has it posted that "ad hominem attacks" are now permitted on any other book.

Never.

It didn't do that to the hagiographic POS by Brinkley, Tour of Duty. If anything deserved "ad hominem attacks," it's TofD. Both for the traitor that it attempts to re-attire in war-hero's clothing and for it's deplorable scholarship.

It hasn't done that to the Kitty Kelley book.

Sorry.... IMO, they want the money for the sales, but they sure don't mind the book being lied about in its own reviews section to prospective buyers - by people who have NOT EVEN READ IT.

It doesn't seem to mind trying to make up the readers' minds before they even order it.

Conspiracy? No, just dumbazz CEO politics smearing a book from which NOT ONE allegation has been disproven.

Not one.
