After last night's meltdown on 60 Minutes, I am now convinced--beyond the shadow of a doubt---that Dan Rather is a lunatic.

I have to disagree. I think Kerry is a lunatic. Rather is merely delusional.

And then they wonder why all the action is on Geedunk? Everything keeps moving here.

Not to be argumentative, but Kerry is delusional, Rather is hysterical.

Hope is on the way! however, because on the evening of November 2 Kerry will also be hysterical, and then he can keep Rather company.

All the bad posts go to the "nethers" at another forum I belong to but that also where all the fun is.

Dan Rather is nothing more than a political whore for the democrats. He showed that when he completely sold out on these memos not once but twice.

If he just wanted the story, he had 8 years of Clinton to get that story. He didn't want that one and didn't even ask questions.

Once again he has now welcomed Micheal Moore to the realm of credible respected journalists.

What will be interesting now is to see how far the stain will go.

Not to be too technical, but Dee Dee Myers is hysterical. Rather doesn't have the correct plumbing.

At least, I don't think so.

It would appear that CBS spokesman are pinning this story solely on Dan Rather and suggesting that it could affect him in six months or so. This would be to distance the company from the acts of one individual.

My question is how can an individual ramrod this kind of thing through a news agency without some complicity on the part of management?

The news agencies rail about holding Presidents or other Public Officials reponsible for this or that ... but it is not correct thinking to hold their management responsible for fraudulent news stories.

I guess it is just more hypocrisy exposed.

US House and Senate pass anti sexual harassment legislation with specific exemptions for Senators and Congressmen is another example of the arrogance and hypocrisy enabled by voter and news media apathy.

For the umptee-umpth time folks, the Geedunk is not the "nethers" here - it's the open discussion board. The other boards are directed at specific topics.

And yes, the Geedunk is starting to see some really interesting discussions. Keep up the good work.

That's right. The MSM, DNC, JFK, and Dan Rather hold GW and Rummy, etc responsible for Abu Ghraib, but the uppers @ C-BS aren't responsible for Danny Boy!
