Declassifed FBI document from November 7, 1971 reveals that John F. Kerry, as the national leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War said, "The political power structure within the United States can and must change if the nation is to avoid violent efforts to seize power." He further stated that "If it (the government) doesn't change we are asking for trouble. If it (the change in U.S. government) is not done, those who are talking about seizing it will have every right to go after it."
