My brother was Capt. Chic Burlingame, (USNR, ret.), pilot of American Airlines flight 77, Pentagon attack, 9-11-01. I humbly ask you good folks to come to our website, www.911familiesforamerica.org and read the letter we have posted explaining who we are and why we support the president. An excerpt:

An Open Letter to America

"Three years ago, on the day that began as a beautiful September morning, 19 men and their sponsors carried out a brutal and devastating attack on our country, leaving 3,000 innocent men, women and children dead, including our loved ones. In those first agonizing hours, and for weeks and months afterward as we searched for word of their fate, we were aware that the shock and horror of that day was not ours alone. With a gratitude we could not yet express, we felt the strong and steady embrace of our fellow Americans. The words, “Never forget,” defiantly written in dust or humbly penned on makeshift memorials, were also permanently etched in our hearts. We will never forget your strength, your courage and your endless generosity.

We speak to you now in the same spirit that you spoke to us then, as Americans, united on behalf of our country...."

On Tuesday, five 9/11 widows held a press conference to announce their support for Senator Kerry. These ladies have enjoyed a great deal of media attention in the last two years. Although 150 9/11 family members have co-signed our letter, we can't get the mainstream media to report it.

We would like you and other 9/11 families to "stand with us" and sign the letter. We don't think five ladies who blame the president for their husbands' deaths should have more influence than thousands of other family members...but we don't know who and where they are. Please send our web address to everyone on your email list. To be clear: we want 9/11 families, friends of the lost and ALL AMERICANS who wish to stand with us to sign in.

Thank you for all you do, for all you have done since that terrible day, on behalf of us all. You will never know what your support these three years has meant to us all.

Please remember to sign our letter. We're not a 527. We're not raising money. We just want our fellow Americans to stand with us for the president. We want the numbers as high as possible.

He's kept faith with us. We owe him.

It is my understanding that you only want families who lost someone on 9-11 to sign as "co-signers", correct?

WE WANT EVERYONE.

We do want 911 families, but we also want all of you to stand with us.

The archive has some wonderful messages, and we are sending those pages to the president. (I assure you, he'll see them.)

Also, this will help with media.

Wondering if you've been in touch with some of those who, at least until this week, have been considered to be more-or-less "second string"--I'm talking about Rush (to whom I have sent a link to your site) and Hannity and Dennis Miller and Bill O'Reilly and Joe Scarborough--I would think that most of them would be more than happy to help to give you exposure--

I'll go out and sign also.

I'd be very proud to stand with 911 families who are supporting our

President. I think contacting the republican headquarters in your

areas would help you. They will know when Bush/Cheney events will

be local and you can go to them. Even Laura and Mrs cheney (can't think

of her name right now).... and maybe even the bush girl events... for

young adult kids who lost loved ones.

Also, contact Sean Hannity... maybe he'll have some of you on his show.

Good luck and I'll be watching for some of you at events / shows.

And I also plan to send an email to CNN, MSNBC etc voicing what I

think of them for not giving you all coverage.

Hi Debra

My husband and I have signed it. I am emailing all my family and friends.
Should pick up a lot of signers.
This is a wonderful way to counter the five widows. I can't understand
their anger at President Bush. But of course the MSM loved it and gave them all the air time.
