I'm an Army brat daughter of enlisted war vet (WW2 Europe theatre, and Korean Conflict), who retired in 66 after 21 years of service. I lived in Germany and Japan as child.

I'd like to thank and honor those of you who served and fought to protect the freedom of our country and that of others.

We vets need to become the noiseist squeaky wheel this country has ever heard to ensure the currently-loudest squeaky wheel doesn't do to our guys in Iraq (and Afghanistan and elsewhere) what they/Kerry/Fonda did to our Vietnam vets. Go bloggers and the New Media!!! Pull back the Oz-like curtain to expose the truth.

Good Evening.

I was USMC 1977-1981. I have been following the Kerry controversy in a somewhat close manner.

While my active duty service did not begin until 1977, we were still called baby killers, still had people thrown beer bottles at us from their cars, still had peole spit at us...the Vietnam Vets all know the score, but many dont know it continued for almost 8 to 10 years later.

I have to admit, I didn't notice it after 1980 or so.

I was one of the Marines off Iran for the Hostage Rescue Attempt in 1980 and have created a website dedicated to the event, that website is located here:

I was at the Vietnam Vets against Kerry rally in DC last weekend, and met the salt of the earth there.

I am somewhat active on FreeRepublic.com, organizing and attending rallies to support our President and the war on terror.

Specialist 5th Class - 92B20 We worked on a lot guys straight out of the field. Combat Medics were the best trauma responders in the world.

Dad was career Air Force Retired Lt. Col. Pilot flew B-24s in 15th AF WWII. Shot down June 9,1944 he was a POW 11 Mo.
My nephew is a damn good Marine in the 2/8. He's already been to Iraq and Afghanistan taking on the bad guys. Grandpa was in France WWI 3rd Div-3rd Sanitation Train(Ambulance) In our family as in most, somebody did this obligation in every generation clear back to 1776.

God Bless America and it's citizen soldiers all.

The SBVFT have my full support. I consider myself a vet even with a less than honorable discharge. Three cruises aboard the SSBN 611. I was young and dumb. Then I know I don't have the right stuff to lead this country. I believe Jhon Kerry is unfit to serve as CIC because of his flaws. We need a person with the right stuff, not one who is so full of himself. A. Chastain navigation tech 71-76

Hi,
I’ve been hanging around hear for quite while and I’m just now mustering in, I guess I’ve been UA. My military background is 6 years active in the Navy 82-88. Served three years at NAS Lemoore Ca and 18 months aboard the USS Midway out of Yokuska Japan. Had the pleasure of working on the F/A-18 as a Aviation Fire Control tech Second Class in AIMD. The closest we ever got to action was escorting oil tankers in the gulf during the Iran-Iraq war. Mostly we just made circles in the water.

I believe if it was not for this group Kerry would still be up in the polls and therefore I’ve made three donations of $50 a piece and I will make more. Keep up the good work.

I am a United States Marine Corps Vietnam veteran (November 1967 to January 1969). I was on active duty in the Marine Corps from February 1966 to February 1970. My primary MOS was 6211 (Avionics Com/Nav Technician).

I underwent basic training at MCRD San Diego, Ca. and Infantry Training at Camp Pendleton, Ca.

From June 1968 to March 1969, I attended 'A' and 'C' schools at NAS Memphis, Tenn.

In March 1969, I joined my first squadron, VMGR-252 (flying KC-130 fixed wing transport aircraft) at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.

I went to Vietnam in November 1967 and was a member of HMM-265 (flying CH-46 helicopters) stationed at Marble Mountain Air Facility, RVN. and detachment duty at Quang Tri combat base, RVN. I regularly flew as a port side door gunner from January 1968 to August 1968. This included Recon insertion/extraction, combat resupply and medevac support missions. I was awarded my Combat Aircrew Wings, the Purple Heart and 5 Air Medals.

In June 1968, HMM-265 was on board the USS Valley Forge (LPH8) and later the USS Tripoli (LPH10) cruising off the coast of I Corps RVN.

In September 1968, I was transferred to HMH-463 (flying CH-53 helicopters) stationed at Marble Mountain Air Facility, RVN. I did not fly combat missions with this squadron.

I returned to CONUS in January 1969 and joined HMM-163 (flying UH-34 helicopters) stationed at MCAF Santa Ana (LTA Tustin), Ca.

In October 1969, I was transferred to my final squadron (my original Vietnam squadron) HMM-265 (flying CH-46 helicopters) again at MCAF Santa Ana, Ca.

I was discharged from active duty in the Marine Corps in February 1970.

I joined the Navy in Nov 1967 after a year of partying in college. I went to boot in San Diego, aviation electronics school at NATTC Memphis, a year in Helicopter Combat Support Squadrn 5 at Imperial Beach, CA where I got my rescue crew wings. I went to Fleet Tactical Support Squadron 24 (VR-24) in Rota, Spain from '69-'71, factory school on F-14s in '71, Fitron 124 (VF-124) at Miramar '71-'76 and finally Fitron 143 Pukin' Dogs (VF-143) from '76-'77 (including mostof a Med cruise on the USS America). I was honorably discharged 22 Jan 1977 as an AT1 with 9 yrs 2 mos and 6 dys of service.

After I left the Navy I went back to college for 3 years and then went to work for the US Army. I was the Integrated Logistics Support Manager for the M252 Improved 81mm Mortar during its development. I was also the ILS manager for the MK19 Grenade machine gun after its transition from the Navy/MC to the Army. I retired from civil service last September (2003). My most sincere desire is that the work I did helped save lives of American soldiers -- my brothers and sisters. You are the best. You deserve only the best.

I was an aviation ordnanceman, ships crew, G-Division, USS Coral Sea CVA-43 (Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club), United States Navy, 1967-1971. I went to the rally and healed alittle. I am thankful for what the Swift Boat veterans are doing.
