Traitor John is at it again ... denigrating the President and the war effort, and giving the Terrorists reasons to smile.

He sounds exactly like he sounded in that infamous 1971 Senate hearing where he called U.S. soldiers war criminals.

I see John Kerry is stil the same spineless man he was during Viet Nam and he is still the same spineless man today. He did not get what he did after he came back as anything other than a political ploy and is still stomping on the backs of the troops serving today. How anyone could ever vote for his just throws me!

I think this new tack is really a bad idea for Kerry. He is playing to his base but should be headed for the center. Begala-Carville are not what's needed. America has had enough of those cretins. They will pull Kerry hard to port.

Which means I am OK with it. Very Happy

I agree. From a political point of view, it's pretty hard to say that you are going to fight the Iraqi war better than Bush, but you think that war was illegitimate to begin with. This kind of vacillation and "nuance" inspires no confidence in our troops or allies and emboldens our enemies.

Hey, wait! Isn't that what he did in 1971? I guess he's consistent in one area -- he provides aid in comfort to our enemies!

Win or lose, this bastard Kerry is going to drag our troops through the mud and destroy all their accomplishments over the last 18 months. When he attacks the situation in Iraq hes not insulting the president, hes insulting our brave soliders by calling THEM incompetant.
gaah. I hope people who were going to vote for this piece of filth can now see what his true colors are.

Kerry is up to the same communist/socialist crap he was spouting in 1971. The goal is to demoralize the troops and undermine support of the trooops at home. He must be stopped.

A wise philosopher and Talking Head once sang, "Same as it ever was."

Kerry is a prime example of a a self-loathing rich kid who tries to destroy everything and everybody that gave him any advantage in life. So was Lenin.

Kerry has now become Howard Dean. I wonder how many Democrats (including the 90% of delegates at the Dem National convention) wished they had the Real Deal of Howard Dean back, who, say what you will, sure looked like he believed with passion his anti-war rhetoric. You wonder how long Kerry will stay Dean before he decides to be...oh, I don't know...Sharpton? Biden? Bugs Bunny? Not only did the peaceniks of the Democratic Party get shortchanged in their "electible" empty suit jive bait and switch, they wound up with a poor imitation of their true champion in the primaries. Chalk that up to the handful of Iowa caucus activists who hijacked the Democratic Party. Gee, what a shame. Razz

One thing we don't have to worry about: Traitor John letting loose with any passionate screams that undid Dean, with a goofy Tom Harkin looking on. Even if Teraaayyyza should call her hubby a ******* and an idiot who should shove it, he'll still react like a talking tree from the Wizard of Oz: "Let me say this, and I have been saying this all along, and let there be no doubt about this, I couldn't be any clearer, I am not a *******, though I realize that in the past there have been nuanced positions of mine, given the complexities of the issues which others would never undrestand, where it could appear, on occasion, as if I were in favor of a ******* position, though this would be a misrepresentation of the facts. My dear."

You can see how Begala and Carville got to The Candidate, telling him to "tell it like it was in 1971." They got the idiot ******* back in Winter Soldier mode. Karl Rove, meet Hillary Clinton. She's paving her way to '08 by Kerry's endlessly hollow shallowness and insecurities about who he is, or if he is. Depends on what "is, is". Couldn't happen to a better loser, made more so by Clintonista help.

JeFfinK's words in 1971 intercut with his words from 2004... He hasn't changed.

Kerry's only goal, then and now, is to further his own power. He's loyal to no one or nothing but himself. Personally, I don't believe he really felt as he spoke back in 1971, it was just jumping on the popular bandwagon of anti-war to attain political office. When that failed, he laid low a while and came out in the early 80's as a war hero. Whatever happens in the world doesn't matter to him, just how he can use it to further his own goals of power.

Today, he's straddling the fence between the two and saying and doing whatever he can to unseat Bush and get into the Oval Office, which has been his goal since in College. Whoever gets hurt, whoever loses, whatever happens, none of it matters. He has no soul or conscience and is totally wrapped up in himself.

NO, he's NOT. Evil or Very Mad

He can try. We are smarter now. We will NOT let it happen again.

A few weeks ago on tv someone said that years ago Kerry even said that about being in Navy and then protesting.... he said he thoght that way he had covered both bases. (well something along that line... that's what I 'heard' when whoever on tv said it....) I think I have it on tape somewhere...

and in response to navy navy navy...

no way Jose! not ever again.... we'll gang up on them and give it right back to them....
