BULLS EYE
Burkett did it plain and simple. Yes he used Army reserve language because he was Army reserve. Why would he burn the originals behind a Kinkos to protect a source he never met?
How long will it take this to penatrate the fog between Dan Rathers ears. Of course it already has. He knows. Everybody in the MSM knows, but they are applying the standards of criminal trial to the evidence.
The story broke September 8. Until September 20th they sat on their hands pretending there was some doubt. By September 10, everyone with half a brain and a keyboard knew they were false. There were flash presentations showing the memos being over laid by a similiarly typed word document.
It was incredible. And their BS marches on.. _________________ Vote early. Vote often. The Democrate way... |

It would seem that Mr. Burkett has learned the lesson well from another Democrat who said
Quote: | "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky." |
'I got the documents from someone else. I didn't forge anything. Well, I did tell someone else what to write and then picked them up from her. But I didn't do it! It's her fault!'
Pathetic, isn't it? |

The just rewards for Mr. Burkett will be quick. He lives in Baird, TX which is a small town just east of Abilene. This is oil country and very republican.
My prediction is that his life in that community will be pure hell from now on.
He is currently staying hidden out on his farm and that is probably where he will continue to seek refuge.
He is now isolated and is probably the second most reviled man in the state of Texas. _________________ VAW-11 NAS North Island 1961-1966
Rather dumped the "The docs may be fake, but the info is true" line like lead balloon, eh?
Lets see if the "media" go after the Kerry Campaign like they did the Bush 'alleged' connection to Swift Vets ad, and oh yeah, "Be on The Lookout" for one Lucy Ramirez of Houston, Tx" |

I just caught some talking head or other on FOX say 'I wonder whether all this questioning of the Kerry campaign over the documents will lead to a renewed interest in investigating connections of the SBVT with the Bush campaign?'
They are the masters of spin, aren't they? |

I certainly hope they do that and bite their nose to spite their faces! I would LOVE the Swift Vets to get more press - god knows they've been ignored!- any press on this subject of Swfit Vets is BAD for Kerry - and dilutes is message so bring it on! |

I think the Lucy Ramirez link should be investigated by that old New Orleans prosecutor, Garrison, for possible links to the CIA and Cuban freedom fighters.

Laws have been broken. I wonder when we will hear there is an investigation. Most investigations take to grand juries are private, but I wonder if we will hear about a DOJ investigation.

Lucy Ramirez? Oh yeah, I got an email from her the other day!
"Hi, im 17 and i have a webcam...."
...probably some 65 year old bald guy from San Francisco.
...and Burkett fell for it!
...We all know there is no Lucy Ramirez unless that is a pseudonym for some DNC flunky. Get real, Burkett. _________________ Find the perfect babysitter, petsitter, or tutor -- today! |

Am I too paranoid, or did anyone else think Rather's trip to Texas for an in-person interview was actually to negotiate the details of the cover-up story? |

Nope. You're neither too paranoid nor alone. I agree. Rather knows about "Echelon" and knows that everything he says will be outed unless it's face-to-face with lots of white sound and wide open spaces. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |
