Sure can't sit still.
Rocking back and forth, like he is pretty uncomfortable.
Listening to them constantly deny any negitive question
is getting pretty silly.
Just another wound for Kerry.
May he leak some more hot air. |

They've been caught in my mind.
They say that CBS put them in touch with Burket? But, Lockhart and Burket never talked about the documents?

Dear Fox News.

Dan Rather stated in his apology that he contacted Burkett, how did he know to contact him? Burkett has publicly claimed to have contacted Max Cleland who in turn pointed him to someone in the Kerry Campaign. Lockhart has admitted to having spoken to Burkett after being contacted by him.
Seems to me the circumstantial evidence is pretty heavy that Kerrys Campaign is connected to the CBS Broadcast.
Now if Danny Boy would further explain the "source of his source(Burkett)" , we know he won't though it would show collusion on his part with a Candidate to effect the outcome of a Presidential Election.

The flow is:
1. Burkett and his MS Word
2. Burkett to Cleland
3. Cleland to Lockhart
4. Lockhart to CBS
I'll bet $1,000 on the above.
Phone records will prove it. They will not give them up without legal action. Until then, it cannot be proved. _________________ DenisC

On Fox and Friends this morning E.D. Hill made a very good point: If CBS and Kerry Campaign were not coordinating, how is it then that Kerry managed to so closely coordinate the release of the DNC's Fortunate Son smears, based in part on these documents? Not to mention the fact that the DNC had their operatives scheduling press conferences about this in advance of the CBS story?
Dan is a DNC hack, always has been. Even in his early days he had no problems reporting lies and propaganda for the lefties, socialists, communists, and liberals in this country. Anyone remember the outrageous "Post-Vietnam" story he did back in the eighties? He did a 60 Minutes (I think) story about how "all the Vietnam Vets are now mentally ill, remorseful for their 'crimes', and drug addicted." Turned out that most of the 'Vets' he used in that story were phonies or had in fact never served in combat in Vietnam. This TANG fiasco is tame by comparison.
Rather was serving his usual stealth part in the DNC propaganda wing and either forgot about/disregarded the Internet, or counted on being caught to feed his ego one last time as being the 'center of the universe', even in a bad way. I doubt even Dan thought he could get away with faking documents, so in my opinion he has a reason for pushing this story. Maybe to sacrifice himself at the end of his career to take the Swift Boat heat off Kerry in the headlines?
He's gotten away with his lies because the rest of the Old Media knows that to attack him is to begin to remove their strangelhold on the truth in America. The Noble Lie and the Noble Victim strategies that Wes Pruden (WaTimes EIC) ascribe to him are standard communist tactics from way back, Lenin and especially Stalin and Mao used these exhaustively - I bet they are required courses at Columbia's journalism school, our country's primary lefty-larva breeding ground.
That's alright ABC, CNN, NBC, NYT, LAT, WaPo - we here in the Blogosphere will take it from here - we'll be in touch if we need a good pile of leftist BS to entertain us. _________________ Doug

I think Rather's thinking about the documents which he had to know were fakes, was that it would take a couple of weeks for that to be proven, and by then the DNC ad campaign would be in full swing and prople would forget what role the documents played in the accusations. Dan's repeated comments about the information being independently verified by sources other than the documents, while never revealing those sources (unless you count a miserable performance by the sec), smells of this kind of diversion tactic, in my opinion. |
