This sounds like a great Ad that brings Kerry's betrayal home - but why is it not mentioned that he secretly and ILLEGALLY met with the enemy? One word could make a big difference to many who will say this was his 1st amendment right. Someone please straighten me out, am I spreading incorrect facts: violation of U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953
Quote: | Sec. 953. - Private correspondence with foreign governments
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Kerry clearly broke the law yet the Ad does not reflect this at all- is there something I don't know? _________________ __________________________

Well, in the past we have seen the ads before their official release on TV. And with the text out and the visuals described on FOX, etc., why hold it back? Maybe there's some last-minute edits going on...weird. |

They release it in Windoze Media Player format - and I think you need the latest version from M$ to play it.
I'm a Mac person and will wait until tomorrow until the SwiftVets site has it in Quicktime and RealMedia formats as well. |

I kept trying on Poseidon's link, and it finally worked. I got the "file not found error messages as well." Could be that heavy traffic is keeping it from playing. Keep trying! |

I see the SBVT is running the ads in the some battle ground states. Why would you not run ads in the following states:?
Florida - Kerry and other liberals are dumping tons of money there and its important that the GOP wins here.
New Jersey - The Garden state is now truly now a toss up and its a democratic state and they list their number one concern as terrorism, I think that running SBVT adds would really get that message across.
New Hampshire - This is a state that is a toss up that Bush won?? Even though it has very little EV's.
Just a few thoughts. Overall like the new add. |

Most of NH TV is from Boston. Boston is an expensive market, and the whole commonwealth is basically addicted to Kool-Aid.
And the SBVT is on a VERY limited budget. Best to spend the dollars where they can get the most bang for the buck. Every dollar counts. _________________ USMC 69-72, 7th Comm, 3rd MarDiv, FMFPAC

Very excellent point. Just have any one of the Swift Vets read the exact same text and its becomes a much more powerful Ad.
My vote would be Joe Ponder....something about his voice was very powerful when he was in Ad number 2.....but any any Swift Vet would greatly improve the Ad.
The strength of the Ads has always been that it comes from SwiftVets....or the words of Kerry himself |
