I'd say something to that "former member", but I guess the admins already did. I think it was buh-bye. Good job. |

John Kerry is extremely anti-American. It's one of the few things he's remained consistent in, through his lifetime. |
Leftist propaganda? Ollie North's record is quite clear. That being said, it calls into question Colonel North's honesty in relating what the troops are doing. If he's just as biased as Sean Hannity, then somebody seeking an objective view of the Iraq situation can pay little attention to his statements.
|
Yes, North's record is clear and I would suggest you read it
in depth. Making the "....record is quite clear" statement
without explaining what you know of his record but leaving
it to the reader less familiar with the story to surmise what
you mean is propaganda. The "leftist" part is obvious in that
you attempt to steer a discussion in a direction of your choosing
without full disclosure, just inuendo. North was convicted
May 4, 1989 of three charges: accepting an illegal gratuity,
aiding and abetting in the obstruction of a congressional
inquiry, and destruction of documents. North's case was
dismissed in 1991. So "honesty" is not the term you are
looking for, but it is the term you used. In afterthought, you
are not looking for objective views. You are looking for
extreme left of center views.

As for John Kerry, how exactly is he anti-American? I've heard this claim made but it is never backed up. I know he fought in Vietnam for America.
|
He fought in Vietnam for Kerry, not America. The dust jacket of Kerry's
pro-Hanoi book, "The New Soldier," features a photograph of his ragged
band of radicals mocking the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, which depicts
the flag-raising on Iwo Jima, with an upside-down American flag.
Now that is really American...oh, I forgot, Kerry has a problem
with symbols representative of these United States.

I know he protested against the government on his return to get the soldiers out of the ugly situation in Vietnam. I know the VC used Kerry's Fulbright Commission testimony to torture POWs (though how this is Kerry's fault is beyond my comprehension). I know Kerry became a Senator of Massachusetts and was then subsequently elected to three more terms. As a representative of Massachusetts, I assume his constituents agreed with his positions.
|
Kerry gave aid and comfort to the enemy. Remember, the
war was still going on during his protest days...or, wait, do I
have it backwards? war ends...then come the protests?
For the sake of the argument, I will agree that that was then
and this is now. How Kerry screws with Massachusetts
has not been my worry...what he does to the United States is
the problem of Americans in every state. Even if I were willing
to put Vietnam aside, which I am not as I lived those days,
I would not elect Kerry on his voting background and his socialist
views. And, please, don't insult me by any outrageous
nonsense that Kerry isn't a socialist...

Maybe you can clarify how this is all anti-American. |
The American Heritage Dictionary defines anti-Americanism
as "Opposed or hostile to the government, official policies, or
people of the United States."
So...Kerry and his VVAW group united with communist
and socialist groups to protest the Vietnam war and
blamed it on government/official policies, his actions
in doing so harmed our government but even more his
actions harmed men he served with and left behind.
Kerry's actions were hostile to the soldiers still fighting
a war and to the families of those soldiers.
Go piss down somebody else's neck and tell them it's
raining. You're trolling and I won't bite. |

Wait, is this the same Ollie North who was convicted of three charges including destroying documents? Which reminds me, didn't Sean Hannity criticize Sandy Berger for the same thing? Ollie North is more biased than Hannity, which is surprising. He called John Kerry anti-American on his radio show a few days ago. That's kind of a pot/kettle deal, isn't it? |
His being convicted was just as political as this CBS stuff going on right now and John F. Kerry is not worth a single hair on Ollie North's head. I too would follow Ollie wherever he lead and if Kerry were within 5 feet of me I would spit on him like he caused all these wonderful vets to be spat upon. |

Right on, LC. Couldn't have said it better.
Thank you to Ollie and ALL of you vets. I feel small in your presence. _________________ ===============
