|
|
>>America's morning TV sweetheart, Katie Couric, wasted no time on Wednesday trying to turn the beheading of Americans in Iraq into political ammunition - asking the brother of executed hostage Jack Hensley if he still supported the war.
"Well, how do you feel about the war in Iraq at this point?" the "Today" host asked Ty Hensley, after having him describe the devastating impact of his brother's murder just hours before.
Much to Couric's chagrin, however, Hensley didn't rise to the bait. Instead he told the "Today Show":
"At this point, I want our servicemen, I want them to come back alive. But I don't want - and I believe - my brother's told me about so many good people in Iraq. I want to continue to try to help these people to get on their feet."
"This is something that has happened to the United States - they've experienced recently," Hensley continued. "However, the Iraqi people have been having these things going on for hundreds of years by these evil people."<<
Entire story.

Good for once a victim holds up to a cr**y a** question like that and just turns it right back on the moron who asked it.
What is it with these news people anyway, I guess they just don't have a soul left, how can you ask someone that kind of question?
I personaly would not have been so kind to her, she'd have gotten backhanded right out of her seat, right their on live TV, to my return question ..... I don't know, How do you feel about asking me anymore questions? _________________ Proud to be an American! and member of the PAJAMAHADEEN

before I even read who she interviewed, I knew that at least 1 family still stuck with bush and our military...heard the brother being interviewed earlier.... I didn't really listen to it...was in and out of the room - but heard that part...
what is it with these people?? oh, your son, brother, etc just died, had his head cut off...and how do you feel about it?
isn't she the one who's husband died of cancer several years ago?
day 2 after he dies 'hey Katie, how do you feel about cancer today?
just disgusting! I know here in Az you see that on the news... someone just dies (car accident, drowning, whatever)...and there's someone with a mic interviewing the neighbors, family etc 'to see how the feel about it'
if that ever happens to me, they'll certainly think twice before putting a mic in front of someone's face again.... _________________ Stevie

I missed that interview but I do generally turn on the Today show to get my adrenaline going in the morning. They rarely attempt to hide their bias. They gave Kitty Kelly 3 days to push her Bush-bashing book but have as yet to interview a Swiftvet.
The good new is, I've seen Swiftvet ads run during the Today show for the last two days. I don't know if it was just locally or national, but it sure cheered me up. _________________ "All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time."

Katie Al-Kouric is heartless; she used this man's grief to promote the Kerry campaign but I'm glad he didn't bite. She has been showing her true colors for some time, and more so during this election year. I have stopped watching the Today Show because of her and Gumball. _________________ Proud daughter of a VN vet. |

You don't know how it grieves me to see what has happened to MSM in the last 10 years. I'm 62 years old and have never seen such a shameful spectacle.
Maybe it has always been this bad but now, thank God, and Algore, have alternative media to compare stories and get a glimpse at another view.
I'm so grateful for this board.
Keep up the good work. _________________ ETN2 PTF2 (Littlecreek Underwater Demolition Unit 2 1963)

I can't stomach the Today Show or for that matter most of the MSM morning shows. The bias makes me sick to my stomach..and don't need that in the morning. The MSM is going to start(or continue)at full force to push the agenda of Kerry and crew by stressing the deaths in Iraq and how Kerry would deal with it...oh, you know the line..so much better than W. Sure hope the American people can see thru the smoke and mirrors.
God Bless America,

I didn't see this, but she is obviously being a spokesperson for the thugs. A stupid proxy agent, an enabler - the theatrical horror is staged exactly for this purpose - for reporters to spread the message and images and prey upon people's emotions/fear in order to undermine support for the war. It is surprising how the media in a seemingly eager fashion grab quickly onto the role offered them -- here's our staged snuff video, now promote it for us please so we can get some ransom $$ or at least some support for our efforts to remove the infidels from our neighborhood... As long as these barbaric movies can get attention, they will continue to be made.
I would so rather see a blackout on the entire terrorist theater. I'd like to see one news outlet step up and say, there has been a kidnapping of so and so and we are not going to promote this action so we will not be showing any images put out by the terrorists or repeating any of their messages as to why the kidnapping occurred as this is just propaganda devised to undermine and demoralize our war effort. This is terrorist psyops and we are not going to work for them. I would like to see them go further in asking all their affiliates and media around the world to take this stand.
Further, I would like to see this as a rule -- imposed, if necessary, on all the Arab stations. Just do not allow any images/messages from these animals. Make it a law - it's not "free speech" -- it's terrorist warfare and should be treated as such. Further, I would like to see some hackers with the specific job of hunting the internet and decapitating any and all terrorist websites. Night and day, just hacking away. Give them a special building and lots of coffee and pizza and let them wear pajamas on the job....
Crazy idea, I suppose, but one wonders what the terrorists would do with their horror theater if it was ignored, and all they heard from around the world is: we're going to wipe these monsters from the face of the earth, we're going to hunt them down, we are going to ignore all their juvenile bids for attention -- and then with faith and respect, we just supported the efforts of our troops in that endeavor. I know that ain't gonna happen, but so wonder what effect it would have if it did. |

Folks....I NEVER spoke up about garbage like this until this election. Pick up your keyboards and let them know about it....today@nbc.com, nbcshows@nbc.com.......
You used to be able to email them personally direct....that is before they switched to MSExchange...a bad technical move IMHO....(I'm an email admin )....... _________________ Pete Fanning

In Kerry/Couric/Rather/Brokaw/Jennings etc. world, this guy's brother would have died in vain.
In President Bush's world, he died bravely for a noble cause (and he clearly thought that was what he was doing as well, as he related that to his brother.) _________________ Everytime he had a choice, Kerry chose to side with communists rather than the United States. |

Katie Couric is disgusting. She should be ashamed of herself for trying to capitalize on this person's loss.
Did she not learn anything from Rathergate? This is no longer the good old days for the MSM. We are out here and we are watching and we are paying attention. We are everyday, normal people, and we will be instrumental in swiftly sinking this MSM that falsely claims to be non-biased. Yeah. Right.
Why don't they just come out and say they're biased. At least then they wouldn't be lying. |
