Audie Murphy is a true American hero.
Here we have a person that accomplished so much while working the trenches, so to speak. Awards can sometimes be handed out for successful missions, but Murphy had first hand experience in dealing with the ememy on a very personal basis.
I don't believe that any actor could have portrayed Murphy the soldier in "TO HELL AND BACK" better than Murphy the person. What an excellent job Murphy did in the film. Murphy wasn't very skilled as an actor, but his humbleness and facial expressions in the film probably portrayed Murphy as he really was during the war. None other (Actor) could have done it more realistically.
BTW, I have always liked Neville Brand as one of my most favorite baddie character actor and have seen most of his films. Was Brand a Marine? _________________ FIRE MISSION: Kerry campaign in line of sight. |

OH Man,
Is nothing sacred! Someone is disparging the "Duke". Ever since Rock Hudson was outed I have nothing but John Wayne left :D I really don't think President Bush swaggers , what is it about President Bush that these girly-men hate so much? :)
