Conservative goddess Peggy Noonan is on H&C tonight at 9:00 EST
For those who are unaware, Noonan was one of the Gipper's speech
writers. In fact, she wrote Reagan's D-day 50th anniversary speech.

Why is this important? Compare this to the ethics of the other side,
ie, Begala and Carville keeping their positions at CCN while consulting
for/with the Kerry campaign.

| I just listened to the Peggy Noonan MP3 file. She actually came out and said that Rather and CBS consciously tried to sway the election in favor of Kerry. It's wonderful to see a fairly well-respected pundit finally have the courage to state what's been painfully obvious to many listeners for a long time. This Bill O'Reilly-style unwillingness to see many lefties as the brownshirts that they are couldn't continue. |

I was disappointed in Peggy's response, when AC pressed her on the scenario of, (paraphrasing) did she think that CBS and/or the MSM would spike a negative story on Kerry, if they had the goods.....the obvious answer is YES, the Swift Boat Veterans is a case in point.
Kitty Kelly has plenty of access to the LSM. Where is John O'Neillon the MSM??

I'm curious at your disappointment with her answer:
"I do not think they (CBS) would have rushed to air with a
piece that was detrimental to John Kerry. I'm sorry, I just don't."
IMHO, Peggy is a real lady, so she was polite, but she did not equivocate.

Disappointment doesn't mean I don't love and appreciate her.
I just thought it was an opportunity to point out that the Swiftees are getting no valid/undistorted coverage on the MSM, as well as point out that the press is not demanding Kerry sign SF180...etc.
I like examples and analogies.
