I suspect that we may never know the answer to that--

What I want to see is the revelation as to how Mary Mapes knew that Burkett had the memos--She says that she went to him, not the other way around--So, who put her onto it?--

I'm guessing it was Cleland--I'd just about bet money and a fresh batch of brownies on it--C

I would try and be cute and do a 'Fugitive' line... It was the one armed man, but Cleland is in the mix and it just don't work....

Here's an idea. Since Kerry is stupid enough to invoke a man who was not yet president, making a statement four years before he made it and remember (seared?) being shot at by the yet to be formed Khmer Rouge, wouldn't he be stupid enough to produce the poorest forgeries in the history of dirty political tricks?

I don't think we will ever know unless CBS gives them up and I doubt they will. Burkett has to know where they came from and he is not saying. Maybe if the justice dept or the FBI started an investigation it might open up some mouths. Federal Crime to forge military documents.

I am left with a lot of questions. #1 Is CBS "investigation " the only one investigating? #2 Didn't the man who delivered the forgerys talk earlier with Max Cleland? #3 After that, didn't Mary Mapes go to TX to get the documents? #4 The agreement was to talk with "someone close to Kerry " as payment? #5 How did Mary know about the documents? (Max Cleland?) #6 "favorite son" ad comes out at the same time...reinforcement? #7 Head of the DNC gives a speach BEFORE the airing of 60 mins using the same terminology "sugar coated". #8 and of course WHO made the documents?

I just heard on Scarborough Country that Burkett will talk tomorrow. I hope I am not wrong since I can't hear too well. It might be good news for us tomorrow. Can any one tell me if they hear the same.
