I wonder how it would look when Vietnam/NG question comes up, if Bush would hold up 2 Form 180 and ask Sen. Kerry to sign the document with him to end all of this debate... |

I agree with others who have posted about this that it would not be a good idea. Good theatre perhaps, but not good politically. I think President Bush should remain true to how he has been, and that is to take the high road. Kerry talking about his Viet Nam experiences will only highlight his typical me, me, me and "I'm a hero" character, and will not play well, except with his rabid base. _________________ US Army Security Agency

I really believe that Bush needs to answer more clearly the Swift Boat Veterans Vs. Kerry questions.
I doubt it will be asked in the debates but if they did I wish he would reply thusly;
"You have made it abundantly clear to everyone that I was not in Vietnam John and you were. Although I believe I served admirable and honorable in the Texas Air National Guard as fighter pilot patroling the Gulf of Mexico at the height of the cold war. From my perspective John your arguement is with the majority of the Chain of Command that you served with over there in Vietnam for 3 months. And from what I can tell you haven't responded to their accusations other than to say they some of their benefactors are people who have voted for Republicans. Simply filing a Standard Form 180 would probably clear up a lot of their questions like why you have a combat V on your Silver Star or when you were honarably discharged. Have you done so? I gave an executive order to have all of my documents released. By the way John do you know anything about those forged documents that CBS used to do a hit piece on me? It's been brought to my attention that CBS contacted your campaign prior to using them." |

There are surveys that are saying that voters are tired of hearing about this topic (usually a sign that the message is just starting to get through and have an impact). So I'm going to bet that the issue is not likely to come up. _________________ Whose side is John Kerry really on? Take this quiz and decide for yourself.

I hope it does come up. I am not sick of hearing about it. I want the truth to be known. Kerry betrayed his fellow soldiers in Nam and POW's/MIA's died because of him. |
