I can't believe we missed this one. It was sitting there in front of our faces the whole time -- irrefutable proof of authorship of the AARs.
I need anyone/everyone to look for anything in print where Kerry denied writing the After Action reports, please.
This is a rush item

If it's irrefutable why does it matter if he flopped again? He's on record as saying before the Senate that he "often" wrote CAARs. Thurlow and others are on record as saying Kerry wanted to write the reports and they let him.
To me, catching him in a lie is much less important than proving he wrote the key reports that led to award recommendations. In other words what reports led Zummie and Hoffman to send BZ's and recommend "special recognition", which we all know means medals. _________________ On Sale! Still looking but found this:
Quote: | Thurlow and other anti-Kerry veterans have repeatedly alleged that Kerry was the author of an after-action report that described how his boat came under enemy fire. Kerry campaign researchers dispute that assertion, and there is no convincing documentary evidence to settle the argument. As the senior skipper in the flotilla, Thurlow might have been expected to write the after-action report for March 13, but he said that Kerry routinely "duked the system" to present his version of events.

I am getting the impression that Kerry has never denied writting the AAR, but the campaign is taking the position that there is no evidence that he did write it. _________________ USMC res 3rd ANGLICO

Ah, yes. But, I do have proof now that he wrote the 13 March 69 report. And also that Thurlow (OTC) did not write it.

I've got several articles that question whether Kerry wrote the 13 March 69 incident but nothing from Kerry himself.
I can't find anything for Kerry's statement a few weeks back where he claimed the Navy documented his actions and he swore to God the Navy's account was the truth.

Behind every document there are human hands, people who typed the documents, filed the documents, read the documents.
Surely there are people out there, perhaps people working in the Pentagon, who know about Kerry's military service records and what is in those records.
Why are we having such a difficulty time getting access to this information? _________________ Ted Harwood, Ph.D.

Here's where he's mentioning heading back to write a "report". Next to last paragraph, first sentence of BG article printing an excerpt from Kerry's War Journal. Interestingly, this should have been the report that confirmed his X-mas in Cambodia - so where is it, ie the report!

As for a central tenet of the Swift Boats controversy, WaPo says of the after-action reports:
O'Neill has said that the initials "KJW" on the bottom of the report "identified" it as having been written by Kerry. It is unclear why this should be so, as Kerry's initials are JFK. A review of other Swift boat after-action reports at the Naval Historical Center here reveals several that include the initials "KJW" but describe incidents at which Kerry was not present.
...
Even if Kerry did write the March 13 after-action report, it seems unlikely that he would have been the source of the information about "enemy bullets" flying around Thurlow. The official witness to those events, according to Thurlow's medal recommendation form, was Radioman 1st Class Robert Lambert, a member of his crew.

“Thirty years ago, official Navy reports documented my service in Vietnam and awarded me the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts,” Kerry said. “Thirty years ago, this was the plain truth. It still is. And I still carry the shrapnel in my leg from a wound in Vietnam.”

Are you referring to the document where Kerry shot a teenager in the back?
Question: is there a page missing? _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |
