It was a fascinating interview on a broad range of topics...both agree that Kerry must never be president. The Iraq war was the correct thing to do, and MUST be followed through to successful conclusion. Islamofascism must be defeated militarily and that Iraq probably won't be the last country where we do battle with it. Also, Hitchens defended the SBVT against Sullivan's slander.
Bottom line: although they are unhappy with Bush in many ways, they agreed that Kerry must be defeated! |

I don't really care for Hitchens politics but I do respect him as one of the best minds we see on the talking head shows. I have seen him a couple of times when it appeared he was doing his version of Hemmingway and he was incredible.
I was surprised when I read, a few months back, one of his columns supporting Bush's position on Iraq. He gets it! |
