I just watched some overly-sincere young woman on FOX News tell women that John Kerry is "our" security blanket for tomorrow. See, what I don't need is 25 year old Vassar grads earnestly and breathlessly telling *me* that because of George Bush I am less safe than ever before.
See, I was at the home of one of the young Navy wives the day after she learned her husband had been killed on the USS Cole while it was moored "safely" during "peacetime" in Yemen. I held her small daughter on my lap and tried to explain heaven to her, and answer her questions about why her daddy won't be able to push her on her swing set ever again.
So I don't need some enfant terible telling "we women" how George Bush has made us less safe by confronting terrorists. That may play on the campuses of Vassar and Smith, but it won't play here. I have seen what happens when the President and his administration close their eyes to the threats of these madmen. Our blissful, willfull ignorance only emboldens them. Our shameful apathy only caused them to become stronger.
Terrorists are bullies, and there are really only two possible responses to bullies, as any self-respecting 4th grader can tell you: you can appease them, through a combination of looking the other way and/or giving in to them, thereby enabling them and strengthening them; or you can confront them at every turn, using any means necessary to defeat them.
John Forbes Kerry and Comrades: Terrorist enablers and shameless fear mongering whores. (Yes, I said whores. I am a little surprised myself!) |

There are some things that I have said and done in my life that can still make me feel physically ill when I remember them - incredible that I ever did anything that stupid.
The vast majority of them happened between 15 and 25 - back when I knew everything.
I just know that in twenty years, that young woman is going to look back at what she said and cringe, just as I do when I remember some of my stupider moments.
"Our security blanket for tomorrow??????" Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!
At least I don't have the added burden of having been stupid in front of the whole freakin' world. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Read Reckless Disregard by Lt. Col. Robert Patterson. You'll be shocked and alarmed 'how the liberals undercut the military, endanger our soldiers and jeopardize our security'. and Dereliction of Duty by same author. Kerry would put us back to the days of Clinton. Want to know how we got set-up for Al Qaida to accomplish 911? Read these and the 911 Commision Report. The policy of viewing terrorist as a police issue is a failed policy that cost more than 3000 American lives from 911 and the Cole etc. Kerry's world view as an internationalist and lack of comprehension of why we are in Iraq means he is unfit to command. Just as he was then, he is now. The SBVT have opened the issues of his lack of character for CIC. The momentum must not be lost!

I have a theory. The young Vasser women are single and do not have children. I believe that ones worldview changes dramatically the minute you hold your first born child in your arms. You understand what it is to be that individual whose job it is to protect your baby. My feeling for wanting my child to be safe was only amplified by the births of my beloved grandchildren. I once was a pollyanna hippy liberal war protester during the 1960's. That was before I found true love, that for my own son and grandchildren. I regret being a war-protester in spirit even though I never carried it to the extreme like John Kerry and his group did. By Amazing Grace I have grown up and found out what the real world is all about. I understand the difference between good and evil. And, I am drawn to the fight to defend America against all enemies so that my grandchildren will not live under the umbrella of a totalitarian state.
The day has come when young people are called upon to grow up faster and we must defend that generation from liberalism at all costs. The future of our nation is at stake. If my son was not already a college graduate I would forbid him from attenting any of the colleges that are rife with the preachings of socialism and neo-communism. I hope other parents will seek to protect their children from the liberal elitists who run our institutions of higher education until those schools can be purged of this insidious disease. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

I wish the RNC and the Bush campaign would contact some of the women who lost their husbands on the Cole and get them out there talking about security, safety...and which party is truly interested in providing same.
I would also like to see some women getting at least a little indignant over the idea that "we women" need special protection from terrorists. I thought that kind of thinking went out with hoop skirts.
What are the Democrats proposing, anyway? Telling the terrorists, "CEASE TERRORISTS ACTIVITIES IMMEDIATELY OR WE WILL SIC THERESA THE PIT WOOLY BULLY ON YOU! YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!! SHE CALLS SOME MEAN NAMES!! BE NICE OR.... OR...BY GOD....WE WILL LET HER DO YOUR HAIR!!"
I don't think al Zarqawi cares if she thinks he is an idiot, or even that other thing she calls people. I think these guys are impervious to name calling, so what is Plan B for Kerry?
*Will Chirac give them a stern talking to?
*Will Kerry appear at midnight after a terrorist attack to rally the world by declaring "I will not have my subjects attacked! Even if Thereza does think they are idiots!"
*Will Koffi Annan take away their internet privileges? Ha! Fat chance! Not after Al Gore went to all the trouble of inventing it for them!
*Will Putin help with our new, improved, more sensitive war on terror by helping Kerry do away with the pesky Constitution and annoying opposition party?
It is just so ridiculous. |

Nomorelies: you remind me of my late, sainted mother who would say: "I used to be a Democrat. Then I grew up."
My daughter attended the University of Houston, and it wasn't too leftist--I mean, it is still in TEXAS. But she had an English prof that was pretty bad. So as soon as this prof would start one of her rants my daughter would drop her head on the desk and begin snoring very loudly. ZZZZ-zzzz snore zzzz Soon other like-minded classmates began to do it, until it became about 25% of the total class. When the prof would demand they stop my daughter would say, "I will stop when you teach the subject matter at hand--ENGLISH. The subject I am PAYING you to teach. Until then, I respectfully request you allow me to sleep through your daily dose of leftist propoganda."
The teacher quit with the propoganda after three weeks.
I don't know where my kids get this stuff, do you?
JCBoston: I could never run for President--I have terrible stuff in my Permanent Record. Unpaid parking tickets from college; one time I T.P.'d my ex boyfriend's house (break up with *me* a week before the prom and pay the price, suckah) and other stuff equally bad. It may not sound like much, but I am a conservative, and if Joe Lockhart finds out about it, think what Dan Rather could do with it... |

February 20, 2003 my letter to the editor in the subject of bullies.
A bully's story
Editor, Naples Daily News:
I didn't like Frankie. Frankie was a bully. He didn't pick on me, but he picked on the little kids. These kids were afraid to tell on him, or resist him.
Frankie began to recruit other bullies.
Luckily, something happened before Frankie could make his power play.
Donald, the boy who lived next door to us, had asthma. He was small for his age. We walked to school together. One day Frankie started picking on my friend Donald. I knew in a flash what I needed to do. Frankie would soon rule the playground if he wasn't stopped now.
I laid into Frankie with everything I had. I beat him up, bloody nose, fat lip and all. When I was done with my fists, I threw him on the ground, pinned him, and made him say "uncle." He said "Uncle!" and I said, "Say it again!"
When I got off Frankie, I heard wild cheering. Even the kids that once sucked up to Frankie were now cheering. I could hardly believe it when I saw Frankie's bully-recruits cheering.
To this day I am known in some circles as "the guy who beat up Frankie!"
Moral of the story: The consequences of not fighting can be more terrifying than a fight.
And don't count on something lucky happening.

No matter how serious this gets, and how low Kerry stoops to try and win this election by any means, I can always count on reading one of Kimmymac's posts and get a good smile.
Thanks Kimmy, it's much appreciated, you have quite the writing style and outlook on life. |
