what just makes me sick is the way that the media portrays the world in general. specificaly the war in iraq, there is news on how many of our people have been killed and how they were killed etc.. if you look at the statistics you are more likely to be killed in one of our major cities then in iraq.

now the question i have is were is the news about all the good things that have been done??? like power and other city services being restored to a village, the hospitals being repaired and open, the schools being repaired and taking students, a new government being formed by an interim governing body etc etc etc....

why is rather so focused on a forged document that he does not report the real news?

now what about afganistan? what has been going on there? granted there is a news block on that operation but there should be something that the military can report on, at least give progress reports..not trying to back anybody against the wall on this last part bcause i see the reasoning on the blackout.

Good news doesn't sell.

That's the reality.

Besides, the media is loathe to publish/broadcast *ANYTHING* that is pro-military, pro-administration, or pro-American.

That's against their principles.
