I'd bet on Howie Carr here in MA, first. He's a charter member of the Kerry Non Fan Club.

Until the alleged footage is found, it's no more valid and should be no more shocking than the "Bush will re-instate the draft" BS. IMHO.

Here's an urban legend in the making:

A caller to Hannity just stated that he had seen old video footage of a protest in Washington DC in which John Kerry was shown burning and urinating on an American flag.

I am almost positive that you can track this urban legend back to Bob Dornan's statements on H&C several weeks ago (the one in which he held up burned American flags and a North Vietnamese flag which he himself had taken from protesters that day at the Capitol.)

Bob Dornan said that flags were burned and urinated upon within feet and within the vision of John Kerry and Kerry did nothing.

Hannity was non-committal, and said he'd check with John O'Neill and Howie Carr as suggested by the caller.

I think this is a classic example of how things get embroidered and passed along and embroidered some more.

I wish it were true, but if something like this truly exists, I think it would have come out a long time ago.

Please, Please, Please let this be true! Not holding out too much hope, as I think it would have come forward by now, but given Kerry's well known penchant for spin, I hope and pray someone was holding this in reserve until the last minute...
