I was just watching Brit Hume's Special Report on Fox.
It's one of my favorite shows.
Up near the top of the hour Brit was interviewing a guy
who has written a book regarding the huge mess that
our ballot/vote system is in nation wide. He was
predicting a 30% absentee ballot, and that it could
create "multiple Florida's" around the country. Depending
on whether lawyers and judges in individual states felt
like 'fraud' had taken place.
Is it just me, or does that take the wind out of your sails
too? Maybe I'm having a bad day, and have watched
one too many liberal hand puppets, regurgitating their
assigned talking points (Yes, Master! ), but this
that just knocks me over!
We live in a nation blessed with power and wealth. The
technology available to modern society is absolutely
amazing, and yet we can't seem to correct the blatant
flaws in our election system on a national level!
I know folks here are eager for Nov. 2nd, and I'm sure that
goes for candidates and campaign workers in every corner
of this great democracy. Yet it would seem that any effort
might be rendered moot should the election be stalled in
various state courts for months.
Excuse me while I go eat some worms.... |

That was John Fund of WSJ who's just come out with a book about voter fraud. It's probably going to be worse than ever. The internet is already chattering about it. HobbesOnLine is setting aside part of his blog just to cover this.

I try to keep all this in perspective. But tonight I'm just
feeling down. It feels like we're the guy running in a
big Marathon, and the guy who was supposed to paint
the finish line on the street went on vacation!

Don't worry. Bush will win with a 9 point margin. Trust me. It will not even be close. You have to have faith in the basic integrity of the majority of
Americans. Besides the 40% democratic base there just aren't that many more people in the nation naive enough to vote for a traitor. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

No, it's me too. I get a twinge in the pit of my stomach when I hear of gigantic, influential organizations tampering with the election process. It's against the law and unlike our liberal judiciary of the past, we should catch perpetrators, prosecute them vigorously and throw the book at them. If they continue, the law should be toughened up. It's not much different from treason, IMHO. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |

I also think that George Bush will take the election by a 6%-10% margin.
Bush only needs to hold his own during the three debates and it's in the bag. Kerry on the other hand needs to excel in the the debates and look good with his recent one-day tan to close the gap on the President. _________________ FIRE MISSION: Kerry campaign in line of sight. |

Thanks guys! I needed a little perspective. Once we defeat
Kerry, maybe we can all aim our sights at effecting change
in the electoral process. It would be great if some sort of
standards were in place for National elections. Let the states
dictate the rules for their local elections, but surely standard
operating procedures would benefit our system? It's not like
we don't already know WHEN the elections occur. Thanks
again...you guys are Swift! _________________

This is why we have to keep fighting for every single vote right up to election day - no matter what the polls say.
The polls in 200 had Gore 6-8 points behind right up to the election.
Polls can convince us that it's a waste of time for us to go vote, because we're behind and what difference is our one little vote going to make?
Polls can convince us that we can afford to be lazy because we're so far ahead.
Please, please, please..... don't give in to that kind of thinking - not for a second.
Every vote counts - especially in this election, where defeating this slanderous poser in a landslide makes a statement of vindication about Vietnam veterans.
Every vote over the one that wins the election contributes to the statement that this man is a traitor and a fraud and does not deserve to command the armed forces of this country. Every vote against him is a rejection of what he did to our soldiers and to our POW's and to our country. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Not to worry. Ashcroft is on it. Secret plans. Special sedition hearings. Rove has ringleaders list. Rummy's got an island. Haliburton. Infrastructure. Bush plan--mislead them into thinking it'll be a cakewalk. No leaking. |

Guys, this is the question of the day:
If we are up 10 points going into the election and Bush loses, then we know there would have been massive voter fraud, what do we as American citizens, many of us have fought for our democracy, what do we do about it? _________________ Never Ever Give Up

I was going to tell you, but the libs would steal my idea and use it if Bush wins. No leaks. Meet you here after it happens. (God forbid) |
