|
|
My father's barber told him that the town's people have a "signal" that they will NOT vote for Kerry (i.e. will vote for bush) by driving their cars during the day with the lights on.
He told my father that driving with their lights on in the day is also their visual "protest" of Kerry.
Interestingly enough, since my father told me that (which was day before yesterday) I have noticed alot of people driving with their lights on during the day. . .even on the interstates. . .so I don't think the "lights on" is a coincidence.
I have looked on the internet (the best that I can) and I have not been able to find any reference or call to drive with your lights on during the day in show of "protest" to Kerry.
Has anyone else heard about this?
For the last 2 days, I have been driving with my lights on and I want to make sure that it does represent a "protest" of Kerry.
BTW: It does NOT hurt your battery to run your lights during the day . . .just don't forget to turn them off!! |

There was a joke circulating a few weeks back that said, "If you are voting for Bush, run with your headlights on during the day." If you are voting for Kerry, run with your headlights off at night."
......could be from this. _________________ "Full Tour Grunt" |

I heard the joke about the same time.. . .lol.... but honestly, around here many people drive with their lights on during the day. . .and it's not just in my town.
I had to travel several hundred miles yesterday on the interstate and many people had their lights on. . .and it was a bright sunny day!
So, I think many people are taking the joke seriously. . .at least I am. . .
My lights are on until November 3! |

I gotta Saturn that has a pair of lights burning anytime that the
parking brake is released. There are probably some other
makes that are hardwired the same way. I'll go along with
the Kerry thing, but on other headlight on stuff, it's not really
an opinion, just an annal car. _________________ Tin Can Sailor |

Whew, sure glad its lights on if you support Bush.......My Harley by law must have its lights on at all times, and I sure would hate, for some to think, I was supporting Kerry.....of course if they looked closely on my saddle bags, they would see my Bikers for Bush sticker,,,, _________________ If your Gonna Be One...Be a BIG RED ONE

Most new cars, at least as far back as '97, are equipped with daytime running lights. You can't turn them off even if you wanted to. I hate them because as you know...when you go through the security checkpoints on base they like for you to have your light off so as not to blind the guard. |

I always drive with my lights on during the day. It's just a safety thing with me. |

This explains the idiot I saw the other day driving with his lights off and a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker. |
