The Kerry/MSM defense to Swift ads has been that Navy documentation supports Kerry or doesn't support the SwiftVets. While spokesman have made the point, often, that Navy documentation is based on Kerry's reports that point seemingly has fallen on deaf ears.
It seems to me that the Sampam Incident provides potential to correct this (perhaps together with what Navy Chief has documented regarding the "Rassmann incident" reports). If an ad could demonstrate that an innocent family, with kids, was engaged by Kerry's boat and that he then reported an unfortunate incident as having engaged and killed VC it would demonstrate to most that "Navy records" based on Kerry reports are not to be believed. It might even suggest just how dishonest he was throughout (continuing). _________________ Retired USN Capt.; Market Time vicinity ChuLai 6/67-2/68; Maddox 8/64 Tonkin Gulf; NGFS I Corps 6-12/65; Saigon evac. 4/75. |

Rather than an ad, file a lawsuit against Kerry for libel and slander against the SBVFT.
WAY WAY CHEAPER, and WAY more media coverage.
Get a Big Name liar (how I pronounce the lawyer word) and make WAVES.
Cost - about $200.00 per state, plus some misc. fees. The liar - pick one that will do it for coverage...
Plus, this approach FORCES him to address the issues - he has used the 'L' word, and that is a just 'cause of action' in all 50 states.
It does not matter that the suit is a 'loser' given the prediliction of the courts, but it WILL make ALL of the papers, for cheap... It also kind of forces the MSM to interivew the plaintiffs.
BTW, this is the same tactic used by small groups (Greenpeace etc...) against the government, to great effect.
Also, what a great photo op. A sheriff serving papers on the man at EVERY appearance.
And what FUN discovery could be! |

Navy Chief did a fantastic job tracking down that document and deducing that Kerry wrote it, but what do we do with it?
First post-debate poll shows Kerry leading 49-47--Bush lost the debate big time
There's lots of stuff to pick apart in what Kerry said in the debate, which the President unfortunately failed to debunk in front of 60 million viewers, so some of them are believing the lies.
A couple of examples:
Kerry: "Iran is moving toward nuclear weapons and the world is more dangerous."
Kerry: "With respect to Iran...I think the United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test them, see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes"
So Kerry wants to "provide nuclear fuel to" Iran, "which is moving toward nuclear weapons"? Is he INSANE? We've got to to get the bloggers and the conservative media all over this one!!!
Another one:
Kerry: "we all know that in his state of the union message, he [Bush] told Congress about nuclear materials that didn't exist."
Kerry: "The only building that was guarded when the troops when into Baghdad was the oil ministry. We didn't guard the nuclear facilities."
So, Iraq had "nuclear facilities" that should have been guarded, but "nuclear materials" didn't exist.
Somebody needs to ask Kerry (or his campaign) PUBLICLY--did Iraq have nuclear facilities or not? And all this talk about no WMD in Iraq, and Kerry blames Bush for not guarding the nuclear facilities? _________________ The traitor will crater! |

If it is the Newsweak poll you are referring to, it is bogus. They polled more Republicans than Dems a few weeks ago and reported an 11 point lead for Bush - then after the debate, they polled more Dems than Republicans to skew the results to Kerry and make him look like the "comback kid" to try to reverse the momentum from Bush to Kerry. It was predictable as that is what Newsweak always does so please don't despair, as I don't think Bush's numbers will go down any and Kerry might get a small point or two bounce but once people get over his so called "dazzling" performance and realize what he is saying, that gain will fizzle, as Bush will pound the "global test" and other Kerry gaffes from the debate from now until election day. It's going to be a long tough month as Kerry supporters and the pressitutes will pull out all the stops, but we have to keep heart and keep spreading the truth about Kerry - and keep praying.
