NEW YORK - While acknowledging mistakes in CBS anchor Dan Rather's "60 Minutes" report that questioned President Bush (news - web sites)'s service in the National Guard, competing news anchors Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings offered support Saturday for the beleaguered newsman.
Brokaw blasted what he called an attempt to "demonize" CBS and Rather on the Internet, ( What about CBS "demonizing the public over the air waves, with their bias reporting?.)where complaints about the report first surfaced. He said the criticism "goes well beyond any factual information."
"What I think is highly inappropriate is what going on across the Internet, a kind of political jihad ... (What is really inappropriate, is the political Jihad ramed down our throats each day from the MSM bias reporting.)that is quite outrageous," the NBC anchor said at a panel on which all three men spoke.
Rather declined to comment, saying news executives had asked him not to talk about the report while an investigation was under way. |
Sick and tired of these MSM people trying to make wrongs, right...They think the public is stupid...The problem with them is, the truth hurts...Even if Rather gets off, the public will stop watching him...He shot his last load...He and cbs took their eye off the ball...( Love that line...Learned it from kamikase kerry.) 
They are so dumb, they can't figure out that their "BIAS" REPORTING HAS TURNED OFF THE PUBLIC..Maybe I should clue them in and explain, that BIAS reporting, isn't accepted by the public...That's why their ratings are down...Their problem is tooooooo many opinions and not enough un-biased reporting....That's what the News should be like...That's why they are worried about the internet..(al gorey invented that)
