I just read through this thread.
I was sitting in my truck between my girls' volleyball matches at 7:50 CTD last night. I knew I was joining thousands of others on the Presidential Prayer Team but am thrilled to know this forum was involved also.
As I have posted on other threads I have been praying that God send something into the Kerry campaign to sink his efforts. (I call them icebergs.) I saw the first answers at the DNC convention with the salute and report for duty. Then came the Swiftees and you. Last night it was the Global Test and other innanities that will help the SSKerry take on more water.
There are so many analogies that could be used (a single virus or cancer cell, a bad apple). The damage has already been done, the end is coming, we must be patient and see how destruction spreads. |

Kerry won on style but lost on substance, it may take a while to sink in but Kerry is like eating Chinese food, when you finish you feel full but you are hungry again in 2 hours. _________________ Never Ever Give Up

For those so inclined and able, please consider fasting as we pray through the next four weeks.
On my list tonight
-Thanksgiving for developments in Samara....may it be long lasting and the start of bolder Iraqi action against the bad guys. Comfort and peace to the families of our casualties.
-Stamina and wisdom for our President and his advisors.
-The VP debate Tuesday night.
-The Afghani elections coming soon.
-More "developments" in the SSKerry campaign that will reveal the true charactor of the man and those around him.
-Wisdom for the Swiftie leadership on how to use the resources and information available to them in the most effective way.
-Several more credible, influencial reporters to step forward and honestly investigate...Swiftie claims, Navy Chief's info, cheat sheet, CBS forgeries |

homesteader, that is a good list. I have printed it out and will keep it in my bible for daily devotional.
I have been abstinence fasting for about a month. I have given up wine and my real drug of choice--salty, crunchy snacks. It has been an interesting time, and a time of real learning and growth for me.
I am going to completly fast on Fridays until the election is over. I am very active so I will be taking liquid protein for health reasons, but no solid food.

We as a church are fasting on Tuesdays, especially on this Tuesday for the debate. Great list. I walk and pray about 30-40 minutes weekdays and will pray for all the debates and ideas on the list. Let God Arise and His enemies be scattered. You guys have made this process so much easier. It is wonderful to be connected, knowing you are praying empowers my prayers, may they all rise up to God like incense and be poured out on our nation. _________________ twicearound |

I am so glad to see all of these posts about praying for this election. My sister and I fasted for the last two elections and are planning to fast for this one as well. I was reading a book by Charles Stanley last night and it was talking about fasting being appropriate for a national crisis. He also pointed out that it adds an urgency to prayer. This is not for everybody, but for those that can do it, you will be amazed at how focused your prayers become. I also made the commitment to Pray the Vote. What an awesome website!!

One great thing that earned my heart from the Presidential Prayer Team was when the war in Afghanistan started they sent out requests to pray for our troops - and if you responded they assigned every one an actual soldier/sailor/airman or marine (anyone going to serve) at random that you pledged to say a prayer for each and every day. I thought it was a great idea and told me a lot about my new President. |

I had several churches praying for me plus friends and family. Honest to goodness I FELT it most when I needed strength and clear decision making capability. God is indeed great and so are the Americans that prayed so hard. Please keep it up! _________________ Never Ever Give Up

Yes, keep the prayers going. Tomorrow's debate will likely be watched by as many viewers as was the debate last Thursday. Dick Cheney is a brilliant man, but not in the best of health. Pray that God strengthen him physically as well as give him clarity and quickness of thought.
Also pray for our troops serving in harm's way. |

A prayer for Kerry, Edwards and their henchmen.

Today is the Pray the Vote prayer rally. Take a moment to say a prayer for the upcoming election. You can go to www.presidentialprayerteam.org and click on Pray the Vote for prayers to say for this election. Take comfort knowing that people from all over are praying today about the election along with you, and be sure to include your prayers for our troops.
"For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." --Psalm 1:6
I have found a lot of comfort reading the Psalms lately. Maybe it is all the stuff about defeating the wicked. |
