The second debate this Friday is extremely important for Bush’s camp and us. Bush must win it, both in substance and style. The following is my tips or suggestions to Bush’s camp. Please also provide your tips. I really hope that anyone at the White House or at the Bush’s camp has a second to take a look at this forum. I think they were being complacent and arrogant before the first debate. Keeping your candidate on the campaign trail only a few hours before the first national debate is a sign of arrogance. We can’t afford to have the same thing in the second debate, or else…defeat is certain.

Here are my tips to President Bush and Bush’s camp.

1. Take a good rest at least 24 hours before the debate. Without a good rest, forget about a thought of winning the debate. Even for a 15 minute-job interview, one must have a good rest the night before.

2. Wear an outfit that doesn't make you look small. Wear a brighter one. Remember, this is on screen where color is very important. Wear a tie that differs from the background of the stage.

3. Keep smiling and calm, babe. Remember, you are the president!!! Be in command. Keep a straight face, and move your hands once in a while if you want to emphasize your points.

4. Take notes occasionally while listening to Kerry.

5. In your rebuttal, rephrase Kerry's position on the issues that Kerry just stated, and then emphasize your stand/plan.

6. Have at least 6 punch/killing lines, and at least 4 direct quotes of Kerry’s past statement complete with their sources. Those are very powerful.

7. Speak a little bit slow, forcefully and direct. No need to spend the whole 2 minutes and the 90 second of rebuttal. Effective and simple words are much more important. Presenting simple data are also very important. Memorize important data that American people want or would like to hear!!

8. Don't engage with Kerry, but speak to the audiences--to the American people. So, sometimes, your 2 minute speeches or rebuttals should be begun with “My fellow Americans…these are my positions…plans…and etc…” or “My fellow Americans…on this issue, this is my opponent, the Senator from Massachusetts, position….etc. And I believe that is wrong….etc.”

9. Define Senator's position on important issues first before outlining your plans (similar to #5, but here...not as a rebuttal, but on the 2 minute answers)

10. When speak, try to insert simple and true stories about the Americans you have encountered for the last 3.5 years. Say the positive messages. These will have a powerful effect on the “undecided” voters. They love stories, because I believe most of them don’t like complicated statements…and that’s why they are still undecided…

Remember, these debates are mainly intended for those who cannot make up their mind. Some of them are those who cannot make up their mind in this life regardless of any fact presented before their face. Some of them are those who are living in a TV-reality show-bubble-life. They don't know what's going on and they are more interested in your outfit and your hairstyle than your plan to improve national security and the economy.

Unfortunately, these people can determine the future of your presidency, and this nation as well.

Good luck Mr. President, we wish you the best in the second and third debates. You can crush the lying senator. Easily.

1) Listen carefully to what Kerry says, and be thinking of a rebuttal based on facts before he finishes.

2) If Kerry talks about "the worst record on jobs since Herbert Hoover", remind the audience of Jimmy Carter.

3) Listen to every campaign speech Kerry has given before the debate, and be ready for a rebuttal to every point Kerry said.

4) If Kerry says that Bush has cut taxes for the rich, remind voters that some "rich" people make $40,000 per year.

5) If Kerry talks about socialized medicine, remind voters that countries that already have it have much higher unemployment rates than the U.S.

6) On the day of the debate, get to bed early and sleep late, and avoid trying to help too many people that day. If Bush wins the debate, he will have four extra years to help Americans!

Bush could always spell out these differences between himself and Senator Kerry.

Bush's speech could sound like this...

True, I did not serve in Vietnam and I have said that Senator Kerry’s service was honorable, but I am troubled how he came back and diminished the sacrifices of the others he had served with. By meeting with the communists in Paris, Senator Kerry contributed to the senseless torture of hundreds of US soldiers, and extended the war costing thousands of additional US soldiers lives.

Senator Kerry has stated publicly that he would find it difficult to support any war. This statement from Senator Kerry I find particularly troubling. How can we trust him to prosecute the war on terror, the most important war in the history of mankind and do so effectively, if he doesn't believe the cause?

I question Mr. Kerry’s intentions to maintain our sovereignty as the most powerful nation in the world. I question his desire to maintain our right to take pre-emptive action anywhere in the world without the need to get a permission slip from any other nation or international body.

I ask you tonight, what has Senator Kerry accomplished in his 20 years as a US Senator? He ranks as the 4th most liberal member in the Senate and I think that record deserves a little more scrutiny.

It is well known about his political flip-flopping on important domestic and national foreign policy issues. A President must be firm and resolved. Senator Kerry , were do you stand on these issues………..

This election is also about the fact that Senator Kerry wants to raise your taxes to pay for more government programs. I believe the government needs to figure out ways for taxpayers to keep more of their money. More money in the hands of consumers will ensure the continued growth of our economy.

Senator Kerry has also shown his support for abortion. Why is there outrage when a man kills a pregnant women, but no outrage when a woman voluntarily takes her own child’s life? We need to protect life. Every life is precious.

Senator Kerry and I also differ on the future finances of our children and grandchildren. I believe today’s youth should be able to use some of their own money to save for retirement, instead of relying on a government program that may be insolvent in 30 years.

This election is also about keeping GOD in our lives and in our public square. I believe our faith guides us and helps us determine the difference between right and wrong, good and bad.

It is also about providing affordable, private health care. Not a nationalized system that will provide a lower standard of care and discourage good people from entering the profession, leading to poorer service and longer delays in care for everyone.

It is about reforming tort laws so people can create and sell products and services without the fear of losing their livelihood.

It is about maximizing our own resources so we become less reliant on foreign sources of energy.

Finally, it is about the differences Senator Kerry and I have over the protection of our country. I believe we need to use our power, both economically and if necessary, militarily, to bring peace and prosperity to the untold billions of oppressed in this world. This will in turn bring freedom for all of us.

Folks, these are the differences I see between myself and Senator Kerry. We are moving in the right direction and I ask for your support today so that I may continue work selflessly to protect you and your family in the years to come.

He has to take charge like the president he is....take the offensive away from Kerry and put him on his heels. He will need to do this like you said with Kerry's own statements and support statements. If he does and sounds sharp, Kerry will wilt and make some huge mistakes. Bring out Kerry's records again and again!

Over the weekend I sent an e-mail to the President (see below), not so much to offer advice about the debates, but to give him my views. It was titled "Getting Back to Basics":

"Dear Mr. President,
I can only speak for myself, but here are some points which I believe are vitally important to the survival of America:

* This country has fought hard for its freedoms but your opponent
would relinquish our sovereignty to the "global community". To
me, this means he's incapable of making the tough, unpopular
decisions to protect us.
* I equate the war in Iraq with the Europe in WWII. Germany did not
attack us, but was a threat to all its neighbors. Germany did not
have the "bomb" yet, but was very close to it. Both countries
were in the hands of madmen intent on world domination. The
United States did not run and hide or wait for the authority to
act. There were horrible losses of life but we kept our eye on
the objective.
* The Left does not believe the danger to our country is real. If
they did, they could not honestly support a man who has
consistently voted to weaken the God given right to defend
ourselves and remain free.
* Under the guise of "free" universal health care, Mr. Kerry would
steer us ever so gently toward Socialism. I do not want the
government dictating who receives care and who will not.

Thank you, Mr. President, for doing what needs to be done. The "War on Terror" is unlike anything ever fought and anyone serious about saving our country should be helping the effort, not doing all they can to destroy its leader."

President Bush needs to be himself, speak from his heart, and knock it out of the ballpark! Kerry is so phony, it will absolutely kill him if Bush is just himself. My favorite part of last week's debate is when President Bush talked about the widow. If he ties the War on Terror to the struggles we have faced Domestically since 9-11 and challenges the Nation to stand tough and pull together come what may, people will rise to the challenge and re-elect him in a landslide!

Great idea.
One problem.
The Kerry-ites read this site to gather intelligence.
They would read the tips and be ready to use them against Bush.
Kerry would know what to expect from the current CinC.
It is better if W's team takes care of this without spilling any plans, strategies or ideas to the Kerry-ites.
W has good men. We need to trust that they will do their jobs.

In his real deal, Joe Scarborough's advice tonight to the President Bush is GREAT!!! I hope the White House watched it. Or else...can we expect Bush win next Friday? I doub it.

It's time Bush gets just a little harsher. Taking the high road is wonderful, but he's been so much more decent than Kerry for so long that it could be getting risky. If he'd picked 3 themes from Zell's convention speech and slipped in a subtle reminder of each at some point in the debate, he would have come off strong enough.

What I'd enjoy hearing him say is that his terrorism policy is more nuanced than Kerry's. If Kerry wasn't so incurious, he'd listen to the many voices of knowlegeable people who say that Iraq is central to the war on terror. But Kerry is so stubborn that he ignores anyone who tries to tell him that just taking out the Taliban would not have been enough.
But I don't guess Bush would say that.

That might be a little bit to confrontational.

Maybe when they shake hands Bush could drop his pen, when kerry looks down at it George could catch him with a huge left uppercut. That chin should be an easy one-kerry will drop like a bad habit.
Then George should reach down and grab him by the hair and say"Is this global enough for you-you Euro trash,metro sexual *******?"
Then he should throw a double V for victory sign and say "How'd ya like that debate?"
After the standing ovation, he should walk off giving a thumbs-up!

I live 3000 miles from Massachusettes but I sure know that state has had its share of economical problems over the years. And Kerry has been there for 20 years.

Get a lot of stats down about the bad times in MASS and pin it on that wussy boy and hard.

Emphasize over and over on how Americans have to work hard for their pay checks and make sure the point is communicated that Kerry hasn't done any work in the Senate in 20 years and has barely even gone to work. Hammer home those pitiful attendance records. Americans don't like the idea of someone getting paid but not actually going to their job.

Walk up to that podium and be proud. You know the issues inside and out, you've been living them for 4 years. Be proud to be our Presient and think of the millions of people who are solidly on your side and want you to open a can of whoopass on John John.

Just do it.
