I think we need to identify our enemy more precisely. When you see a Kerry supporter who is just the other side of normal - post it here.

I will start.

I was in morning rush hour traffic on the Washington Beltway today and saw the following - a beat-up AMC Pacer (first one I've seen in decades) with a bumper sticker that read - "Protect the rights of Witches and Warlocks. Vote Kerry/Edwards."

Needless to say, I did not cut off this lady in traffic. I did not want to be turned into a frog, French or otherwise.

This weekend I was in Charlottseville, VA. While eating at an outdoor cafe, my family was accosted by a man singing "Oh Danny Boy" and wearing a handmade cardboard sign "Singing for Regime Change in the Peoples Republic of America."

Alas, my daughter and my book keeper.

When my daughter took a trip to CO she asked to park her car at our house. Of course, I said OK. We have a large driveway and parking area. She took the most prominent parking spot most visible from the street to display her Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. I moved her car and backed it into the parking spot so the Kerry/Edwards sticker could not be seen. When she returned she angrily confronted me over the fact that I had moved her car. I explained that a Kerry/Edwards sign was an embarrassment to me. When I said “embarrassment: she went nuts and began talking about Michael Moore and big oil conspiracies, etc.

My book keeper said today that she had to turn off the debates because Bush was so stupid she couldn’t stand it. I asked her if she actually knew what the candidates IQ scores were. “If you told me Bush was smarter I wouldn’t believe it.” was her retort.

When I showed her the research about Bush being smarter than Kerry she burst out with the same irrational rantings as my daughter. She did, however, borrow my video copy of the 9/11 report. I told her it was scarry.

They are everywhere.

My older sister is a blind Kerry supporter. Since she lives in Vero Beach, Florida, she has been hit hard by hurricanes. After each one, I was able to contact her to make sure she came through okay, on her cell phone. Each time, all she could do was rant about Bush not doing anything.

After Bush was there and had a picture taken handing a bag of ice out, she said he could have least brought a chain saw like he uses on his Ranch.

She never did answer me about what Kerry could or would have done any different. He didn't even show up down there to hand out a bag of ice. Maybe she believes Edwards will file a class action lawsuit against nature because of the hurricanes this year

The help Bush made sure Florida got was the best I've ever seen.

FEMA is helping people with covering their roofs with just a simple form, e.g. name, address and phone number. I have never seen so much destruction and I've lived through hurricanes since the 50s. It really hit us hard. I've never seen a hurricane blow buildings apart, usually storm surge does the damage but not this time; it was awful. They are saying it might be two years to get all the roofs repaired.

I don't know what your sister's problem is but no President in my memory has spent so much time with disaster victims as President Bush. I don't like being a disaster victim; the help from FEMA was refreshing and the attitude was different from past administrations; it reflects the compassion of the Bush Administration.

It meant a great deal and uplifted my community's spirits for the President to visit here. He truly cares about the people and this country.

Very affluent, it's curious to see Hummers and Expedition type vehicles with "Save the Earth" and Kerry stickers/ yard signs. Maybe the vehicles don't really belong to them. I'm sure they all think their tax bills are too low as well.
