CBS Newsman Bob Scheiffer will be the moderator of the third debate.
Last night he showed his extreme bias against Bush/Cheney. He is publicly
bashing the administration in no uncertain terms. If he cannot refrain from this public bias, shouldn't he be disqualified as moderator of the 3rd debate???
Anyone know how to contact whoever is in charge of the debates?

From Cyberalerts:

# Rather to Bob Schieffer, after the rundown of the poll numbers recounted item #1 above: "If you had to write the lead for tomorrow mornings newspaper or tonight's late newscast, what would the lead be out of this joint appearance?"
Schieffer: "I think it would be that the administration was accused of not playing straight where the American people, and this just confirms what my sense of it was, Dan. The administration has got to find another way to argue and justify this war. The arguments that Vice President Cheney was making tonight clearly did not take."
Rather: "Bob, for the first time I think in the whole campaign, Enron was mentioned tonight, may not be the first time, but first time before this large an audience. Do yo or do you not think that the John Edwards attack on the Bush-Cheney administration about Halliburton and Enron will take any traction?"
Schieffer listed a litany of disasters: "I don't know. But I do know that people seeing day after day these explosions, these beheadings, the things that are going on in Iraq, and then hearing the administration say that things are on track, it does not seem to be working, because every time tonight that the Vice President would try to make the case for the war, Edwards, the very smooth trial lawyer that he is, would come back with something to rebut that. And clearly, in we're seeing in what Anthony Mason reported tonight, people tended to believe John Edwards, it seems to me, and they had questions about the argument that the Vice President was making."

All the moderators are biased to
the left. We can easily see it come
out in their questions.

I think these debates are stupid.
If anything there should be the
input of two people, one from the
left and one from the right to knock
heads over which questions get
asked! As it is now, a Republican
answering questions at a debate is
like gambling at a casino, the house
has the odds. Wink

No more debates. Let their records be
our guide.

I know that they are all biased. But , even though she is
a leftist, Gwen Ifel last night did a pretty good job as moderator.
I think Charlie Gibson will be fair in this week's debate.
But Scheiffer is out there spouting his slanted "opinions" after
every debate! I heard him talking a couple weeks ago bemoaning
that he wasn't named to do the first debate on FOREIGN POLICY.
I can see why.
He obviously wanted to push his anti war agenda.

I wish I knew how to contact te Debate Committee!
I would start an e-mail campaign to have him yanked as
moderator. I doubt that they would replace him, but at least if they
got a lot of protests it would put Scheiffer on notice that he
better not show favor to Kerry the way Jim Lehrer did. You could
tell Lehrer's agenda by the questions he asked--or more importantly
the ones he DIDN'T ask of Kerry.

There will always be debates--the tradition is set in stone!
I think they should have ONE moderator for ALL the debates.
Someone above reproach as non-partisan.
Certainly, they should quit picking the moderators from the MSM!!!

More than likely the ********* will have the audience infiltrated with commie clones of Michael Moore's. It's too bad we can't have a Swiftee in the audience to ask where is his 180 Form and where is his apology to the Veterans.
