I heard that Burkett's timeline included a call from/to the DNC where they (DNC folk) encouraged Burkett to hand the documents over to CBS.

This would seem to fly in the face of CBS's BS and the DNC's statements that Burkett did NOT mention the memo, or - maybe the question to the DNC wonk was badly phrased, Burkett did not mention the memo, the DNC folk did.
