While there may be some Officer resignations and some Enlisted members holding off on re-upping until after the election, I want everyone to think about this.

I remember hearing the same rumblings that this would happen if Clinton was to get elected....well.....he was elected twice and it didn't happen. It will not happen if Kerry gets elected.
WHY?
Because there are more people serving in the military that actually have a sense of duty and believe that "Duty, Honor and Country" are not just hollow words, but they actually mean something to them deep inside (unlike Kerry).
I for one will continue to serve, I will not like serving under a Kerry Administration (God forbid), but I will continue to serve, as will many others. We will continue to serve out of a commitment and obligation to our country and our fellow servicemembers, not a commitment to a particular Commander in Chief. John Kerry does not understand this concept it is all very foreign to him.

You are correct. I believe a good number of officers and SNCOs would resign if pushed to do something against their consciences. Case in point, back in the 1990's when Clinton imposed coed bootcamps on the services, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Krulak, and all of his generals, in a statement to Clinton, said they would resign en masse if he imposed that on the Marine Corps. Clinton backed down because of the bad press which that would have garnered. Hence, the Marine Corps is the only service without integrated platoons and series at Parris Island and San Diego.

I would hope, in the event of a Kerry administration, he would not be that stupid, but then again, he will be in hock to all sorts of interest groups. There is no telling what that a--hole would do in office.
