When the Democrats chose John Kerry, I was frankly stunned. Not to say that had a bumper crop to chose from, but he seemed to me to be the "runt of the litter"...and would have chosen anyone of the others (except Sharpton and Dean) had I been in their shoes.

I frankly have been amazed at his success thus far, given his history.. while prior to the Swifties I never knew of his false service record, I was very very aware of his activities in the 70's, and his voting record in Congress, and didn't think the man had a 'snowball's chance in haitis' of challenging President Bush for POTUS.

I just got through watching this attack disguised as a news conference, and it finally dawned on my why the Democratic party chose him to run this year.

They want to win at any cost.. that much is clear and I've seen in print the reasons why... upcoming Supreme Court Judge replacements, and certainly the predictions of political analysts that failure to win this election will result in another 20 years of Republican dominance.

That being said, they had to choose a man who would do whatever it took to win the office... including the lies, the vascillating on issues, and vicious attacks on a seated President. It would have to be a man that put power and the Party over Country and honor.. a man who would ridicule our allies, condemn an ongoing war, and throw our military to the wolves.. that would divide the country with rhetoric and half truths ..

How clear it must have been for them...

John Kerry was their man.

Got a link to the latest shots fired by Zell Miller over Kerry's bow?

Your explanation makes perfect sense! I have never been able to understand how practically the least likely person running in the primaries could end up as a candidate for president. I think you've nailed it.

After President Bush's great speech yesterday, I figured it would be only a matter of time before skerry crawled out of the woodwork and "held a press conference." I didn't see it but caught a clip of it on FOX a few minutes ago. In it, he described himself! i.e. 'The American people deserve better.... the American people deserve a president who will tell the truth.... and not somebody who will tell lies with a smooth-sounding rhetoric.' BINGO -- skerry described skerry to the max! The more I see that man the more he disgusts me (if that is possible). The MSM propaganda machine that is propping him up should be ashamed. If any single entity is going to be the ruination of this country, it is the MSM. Too many people get their 'opinions' straight from the liberal, biased MSM.

whew!

That rant felt good.

NOW I am holding very optimistically to the fact that the majority of voters are intelligent thinkers, know what's going on, and are going to put President Bush in office for FOUR MORE YEARS!

I agree. We need people like Zel Miller, Tommy Franks, and Rudy Giulliani out on the stump attacking Kerry at every turn. Bush needs all the extra help he can get now.

Excellent idea. I wonder whether they are on the road now campaigning for Bush. Meanwhile, let's pray for Bush for tomorrow debate. He is the only one who has the chance to debate John Flipper Kerry one-to-one. Hope Bush crush him.

Even Kerry's supporter, Don Imus, got confused of Kerry's position on Iraq. This bad mouth person does not have soul.

In September 15, 2004 show Imus said he was confused. After the interview Imus said, "I asked him a number of questions about Iraq and I can't tell you what he said."

KERRY: "I don’t think any United States senator is going to abandon our troops and recklessly leave Iraq to whatever follows as a result of simply cutting and running. That’s irresponsible. What is responsible is for the administration to do this properly now. And I am laying out the way in which the administration could unite the American people, could bring other countries to the table, and I think could give the American people a sense that they’re on the right track. There’s a way to do this properly. But I don’t think anyone in the Congress is going to not give our troops ammunition, not give our troops the ability to be able to defend themselves. We’re not going to cut and run and not do the job." (CBS’ "Face The Nation," 9/14/03)

The Kerry voted for exactly what he said it was an irresponsible vote. BUSH needs to stress this point and let public know. I do believe most people have no clue about Kerry's real stand on Iraq.

About his vote:

KERRY: "I voted to threaten the use of force to make Saddam Hussein comply with the resolutions of the United Nations." (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Announcement Of Candidacy, Patriot’s Point, SC, 9/2/03)

Bush should simply state: only a fool can believe that Saddam would comply with another UN SC resolution after rejecting previous 17 resolutions. Then point his finger to Kerry and ask, "Senator, do you really believe Saddam would comply with the 18th UN SC resolution?"

KERRY must be held accountable of his bad mouth speeches. So far, media are in honeymoon with him. Please Mr. Bush, raise this point and make him bad in front of the public.
