When I saw O'Reilly tonight, it made me remember that Kerry was supposed to go on Dr. Phil with Theresa this week (I think it was today actually). If so, did anyone watch it? Was anything interesting about it, I wonder if he asked Kerry about his divorce to Julia Thorne?
Sorry if this was posted on another thread, but I didnt see it. |

Obviously it was too big a job for Dr. Phil. No cure. No visible improvement. Don't waste your money. _________________ It's downright brilliant the way he's reserving his devastating intellect to spring it on us at exactly the right moment. |

It made me sick.
Phils wife just was going on and on about how "real"
they were. Phil agreed. They were so "real".
She obviously has a real hero worship thing going on with Teresa,
because she could hardly sit still, and was nearly giddy, when they
talked about them later between just each other.
I mean a huge smile, and sitting on the edge of her seat.
I though she might break out in song or something.
Pretty clear where they were coming from.
They also went on about Kerrys "painful" childhood, moving from
place to place so much. Nearly made me cry. (not)
I did not watch The Bush interview, but it sure looked like
they were pro Kerry to me. |

Redview,
Thanks for the review of the show, it figures that was the outcome. I was hoping for something more revealing, but oh well, at least I didnt spend $ on this crap. |

What? I thought they were going to be one of Dr. Phil's Family in
Crisis. |

I saw the show and of course Theresa was her usual boring self. He sat there and said just what Dr. Phil wanted him to hear. He knew he was talking to the audiance. There was a lot more a political atmosphere on this interview than with Bush and Laura. Dr. Phil did make a statement to the effect "he is so for the family" (not exactly). I definitely got the impression that Dr. Phil was pushing him for best choice, but then again I am biased.
After the show I went on the Dr. Phil forum and read some of the reactions to Kerry and "Momma "T" (this is what she likes to be called--like Mother Theresa I guess). Someone said she is voting for Kerry because he supplied a nicer, softer chair for the McGraws than Bush and Laura. OH MY G-D! This is what we are dealing with!
I definintely have changed my opinion of Oprah and Dr. Phil.......closet biased liberals! |

I don't agree. I saw both shows and the one with the Bushes was
much warmer than the Kerrys. It was obvious that Dr. Phil likes
Bush, especially since he is a fellow Texan. I would not read anything
into Robin's treatment of Theresa because Robin is always like that.
I think they were bending over backwards to try to appear impartial
because they had such a great interview with the Bushes. Dr. Phil
was pro-war because he has a nephew who is a pilot (sorry, I forgot
which branch of service). He had pictures of him with his plane that
he showed on the air during the war. These two interviews with the
candidates were not meant to be political. Dr. Phil's focus this year
is "Family First" and he was mainly talking to them about how they
raised their families and how the Kerrys "blended" their families
together. Although they did not focus much on the audience, one
member in the Bush audience said something very positive about
GWB. I don't remember any audience comments on the Kerry show.
Since the show is filmed in CA, I would imagine the audiences are
pretty liberal. _________________ Susan R. Morton |

The comments were on Dr. Phil's website...www.Dr.Phil.com. You have to register to view the comments. We are all entitled to our opinion but I still think Dr. Phil was leaning towards Kerry. |

I think you're right on the money. Dr. Phil is after all dear friends with Oprah and Robin is best friends with Cher. If I'm not mistaken, Cher has been bashing Bush lately and Oprah, well, enough said. The interview with Kerry was very warm and soft and with Bush I noticed it was harsher particularly when Dr. Phil mentioned his drinking problem. That kind of made me squirm because that's another can of worms that might rear its ugly head again. I was speaking to some people who are Bush supporters and they all felt that the Kerry interview was much better. Yuck! _________________ We will not waver, we will not tire,

I just saw a promo for the show and the Bushes looked very comfortable sitting next to each other. On the other hand, Teresa looked like she was sitting as far away from Kerry as she could get and if anyone had said "BOO" she would have been gone in a flash. |
